and it broke!!! I went to place it on another part of the stove and missed the stove!!. It bounced off the floor w/ 3 pieces apart. IT is the new one from the park - that is red and black. The piece that opens the sprout is no longer attached. UGGH!!! DS9 say we can get another one when we go (7 days) Yes we can BUT I don't want a new one. (I didn't tell him that).

Do you think if I super glued it the steam from boiling water will undo it??

this is what mine looks like

IT is usable - just need to find a way to open the sprout w/o burning fingers.

:(

When dealing with heat, steam and hot water you can never be too careful. I'd chalk it up to accident and get a new one if you still want one or just trash it and get a whole different less expensive tea kettle. If there is a glue that will hold through heat give it a try, but I don't think basic super glue will withstand the contstant heat.
Whatever you do be careful not to burn!:)

patsal--- That is a fear of a burn. Esp a tea pot full of water. I will see what dh says when he gets home in the AM. I am sure it will be to pick out a new one when we go next week. Maybe I can glue this one back together and use it for decoration instead. like a vase. I am not too sure how basic super glue would do plus I dont' know what happens to super glue when it gets heated. - maybe I would prefer not to know. :scared1:
