Just got our ME packet for our trip next week and there are only 3 luggage tags for 3 people. ( we will have 5 suitcases). Should I call and see if they can send me some more rush delivery or can I attach them so that they are one sided? TIA

DME has been sending out one tag for person for several years now. If you need more, call them and they will send more.
You can try splitting them, others have done it. I wouldn't but I tend to be a rule follower in anything that is airline related....:rotfl2:

Never mind, I see I can't place then one sided so I will have to call and see if they can rush delivery me some more. This is so frustrating because I must have called to set up ME correctly at least 4 times. (we are doing a split stay BLT/AKV and they originally only sent AKV tags):faint:

Thank you. We always arrive late at night so dont use the tags.

How long are you going for? Are you staying in a studio or one/two BR unit?

I'm asking because 5 suitcases for 3 people is a lot. If you're not in a studio, the DVC villas have laundry facilities in your unit.

Just for comparison's sake, we are 4 people, with 4 carry-on sized rollaboards, for 12 days. Each suitcase is about 2/3 full, so lots of room to bring home souvenirs...I'll have to do 1 load of laundry half way through the trip.

1. You can request more tags (these are usually sent UPS anyways).

2. You can repack and get it down to 3 or 4 suitcases (which is a good idea anyway, so you can bring 1 suitcase on the plane and then on DME with you - 1 change of clothes for FL weather, bathing suits, toiletries, and pyjamas - that way you're not waiting 3 hours for the things you need right away). Perhaps one of them is already carry-on sized?

3. Worst case scenario, you pick up the 2 tagless suitcases and bring them with you on the DME.

Even if they can't get you the tags in time, you can still have them collect all your luggage. All you need to do is show the person at the DME desk your receipt (I know there's another word for it but I can't think of it) for the luggage that doesn't have the DME tags on it and they'll get them for you along with the luggage that does have the tags.

Thanks everyone. I just called and they are sending me more. CM said it would take 3-5 days, so hopefully they will arrive in time, Just checked with DD and she has only one smallish sized suitcase so that makes it 4 for the 3 of us. One is a small one with food for the room. We are staying 9 nights in a studio so no washer and dryer and with teen girls, we each need our own suitcase for sure ::yes::

If you cut the tags in half they might fall off the suitcase in flight or might not be noticed by the CMs separating the Magical Express baggage from everyone else's.

The tags should only have your first stay indicated. The second resort really doesn't matter.

Another option if you don't get your additional tags... copy your existing tags, cut to size, then use packing tape to attach to the handle of your luggage (pull out enough packing tape to encase the copied tags, put the tags in the middle of the tape, fold over edges if needed, then put the tags on the handle of your bags and run some more packing tape over it). What have you got to lose?

Thanks. Yes, my ME tickets were for AKV which is the second half of my split stay which is why I called so many times trying to straighten it out. :worried:

Yes, I know there is washer/dryer access at DVC resorts. When we stay in studios I do laundry at least once. Going in Feb we have to bring both warm and cold weather clothing, so we each have the 1 small suitcase and 1 for food.
