Ugg Boots?!

OH loves both Crocs and Uggs. The Uggs from Australia and USA seem more robust and like Karen's show little sign of wear even with every day use.

I've had my uggs for aout 3 months and they are still as good as new :thumbsup2

I had to get "ugg" ones as I became slightly obsessed with grey ones and none of the of the other brands seemed to do grey ones at the time......:confused3

Thanks for this thread!

It helped me make my mind up....I have been toying with the idea of getting either Uggs or Emu's for a while & finally decided to get some emu's. I have ordered them today from Amazon as they seem to be the cheapest at the mo.....now I just have to wait for them to arrive! :bored:

Hope you like 'em, Claire. IMO they're definitely more supportive tho' I've now put a couple of heel lift things in my UGGS so they're back on my feet at the mo... :goodvibes So very warm... :cloud9:

According to the sales guy in Nordstroms, grey was their 'new' colour this year - I love it! :thumbsup2 I had to get the short blue/grey camo ones in the summer... :rotfl2: :goodvibes

we were in westfield shopping centre today and they were queuing outside the Ugg shop to get in.

There is a croc shop there but they only had size 8 for the black croc boots. There was a 50% off sale on so I guess they must have sold out.

I think I've finally decided to hop on board with these shoes and get myself a pair. Was looking at Uggs, but since reading this thread and looking at the EMU's, I'm sorta swaying in their direction.

I've decided which style I'd like and found some for £59 on the net, but I'm stuck on sizes. I'm usually a size 5.5 or a 6 in shoes, so would I be right to order a 5 or a 4 in the EMU's? Any advice, or would it be better to try track some down to try on?

TIA

I would say you need to try them on. I am usually a size 6 but had to get a 7 in Emu's, size 6's my toes were right at the end.

Thanks Poppie :) Any idea were is best to look? I've tried John Lewis on-line and others, but I can't find them listed in many places. Did you get yours from a department store?

No mine came from LX direct, i ordered 2 pairs and sent one back. I only got them from there as they were doing a special offer at the time for new customers, something like £20 off a £60 spend. I love them :lovestruc
I wore them to Disneyland Paris and completely ruined them, well i thought i had. They had the worst water stains ever from where they got so wet. When i got home i took a chance and washed them by hand with some washing liquid stuffed them with newspaper and put them in the airing cupboard. The next morning they looked as good as new!!

Oh, glad you got them sorted!

I'll keep on-line shopping then, just see what I can find. Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

I bought a pair from www.bootbarn.com last year and then another this year :)

Both times worked out way cheaper than in the UK.
Do a search for a discount code (think it's 20% if you sign up to their newsletter) and it's $35 delivery to UK :goodvibes

The first pair I bought went through customs 'free', this year I had to pay around £30 but still good value :thumbsup2

I've had no problem with walking on the sides of them (they have re-inforced heels) but I walked so many million miles that I ended up with a hole in the sole so bought new ones...... :sad2:

DH got me mine and he was advised to get a size smaller than your usual shoe size as the sheepskin inside will mould with your foot. I'm normally a 6, mine are a five and they were tight at first but now my feet have moulded to them they are very comfy.:)

My EMU's arrived on Wednesday & I wore them out yesterday.....they are sooooo comfy!

Has any one put any kind of protector on their uggs or emus? I don't want to wear mine out yet incase it rains! Sad huh?

I was just wondering what the best stuff to use is?
