UEA Weekend at Disneyland UEA= Utah Enters Anahiem

I happen to be from Utah, and I happen to like Utahns. Red shirts, blue shirts, pretty much like them all:rotfl: I'm going over UEA. Do I think I'll see some Utahns? Hope so. Will the parks maybe be busier than I'd prefer? Maybe? Do I still plan on having a great trip with my awesome family? Absolutely! Happy thoughts people, happy thoughts:wizard:

I love Utahns - I just don't need to know which school *team* they support. Yes you'll see lots of Utahns and you'll know it :rotfl2:

I love Utahns! And I love seeing people wear their "team" shirts. It is a fun conversation starter. I especially love seeing a rare USU AGGIE shirt/ hat every once in a while! :thumbsup2 Go Aggies!

You're from Cache Valley?!? That's where I grew up 8-18 and a year in my early 20s!!! I love it up there, however it's too darn cold and yucky in the winter and I wonder - Where do people work? Aw well, lots of family and friends up there to visit.

Ugh, I hope this turns out not happen. :guilty: I booked for the 23rd-26th hoping the UEA would be back home & in school. I was hoping that those who wanted a longer trip would choose the party on the 18th and to book for the week of the 16th. That was my logic :teacher:, but after my limited 3x experience, I've determined that no one can really assume or understand what is going to happen in the future at DLR.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's not going to be a super busy Monday compared to last Monday, but busier. You are among the ones that had the thought to come after the weekend and are the ones who bulk up the Mondays. There may be thousands sharing your idea, but not 30 thousands.

Saturday night, one team is coming in with a winning record.

Maybe I should wear my USU shirt to just to represent.:cool1:
We are going to pull the kids out of school and go Mon-Thurs. I am hoping to talk the dh into Mickey's Halloween PArty, but since it is anothe $300 for my fam not sure if it will fly or not.

Haha My husband was born and raised there! I however, grew up in Seattle... went to school at USU and fell in love with it! Unfortunately, there really aren't that many places to work so we now live in SLC. It's a small world afterall :)

I get annoyed seeing all the red U and blue Y shirts in the parks - I'm not a big logo person *Disney shirts in Disney parks yes* if you're from a place why did you need to announce it *in that way*...?

LOL, my 8 yo DD lives in her Utah shirt. It's unavoidable for us!

We choose to move from UEA to the week earlier for several reasons. We've given up on going when it's dead, it never is!

The SLC School District is actually closing some of the elementary schools for UEA on Wednesday that week! So we decided to go the weekend before and hit the the Tuesday night party. Our daughter will miss 2 days, but it is only 2nd grade.

Oh yes...and GO UTES! :thumbsup2

We were at DLR for UEA weekend last year. We arrived Friday morning and entered the parks at 4pm for the Halloween Party. It was really busy from 4-7 and then the crowds thinned quite a bit. In the early hours of the party it seemed a though everyone else was waiting in line to trick or treat and most of the rides were very short waits. We rode the Matterhorn, Nemo subs, Haunted Mansion, POTC, IASW and Indy all with minimal wait times. I think I actually waited longer for Dumbo with DD than anything else.

Saturday, though, it was pretty crowded in DL through most of the day. We did take a mid afternoon break and headed back around 4pm and stayed through closing. We didn't go into the parks on Sunday, but I heard that it was even more crowded Sunday. We spent all of Monday at DCA and it was an overcast day. The park really wasn't that crowded and the longest we waited was for TSMM but we managed to ride it twice. It seemed like it got crowded later in the evening with people coming in for WOC.

Easy to spot. ;)

How about that game last night? UTES!!!!! :woohoo:

Okay, carry on. As a So Cal native but someone who has lived in Utah the past 18 years, I know 6 families pioneering their way west over UEA.
