Hello everyone! I'm sure glad I found this place. Ok so I'm a long time reader first time poster.*

My family is doing the UEA (Utah Enters Anaheim) weekend October 19-22 how busy does it get? With all my fellow Utahns *entering the Disneyland park I'm wondering how busy will it really be? Anyone experience the craziness?*

Welcome to the DIS.

I just checked the Disneyland Crowd Calendar from touring plans.com (actually quoted on MousePlanet -- does that make this 3rd-hand info? :rotfl2:) Anyhow, they list Tues-Wed as a 3.8-3.9 Thurs as 2.6. But you might want to do something else on Friday the 21st as that's forecast as a 10. :scared1:

We just altered our travel plans by a day to avoid Friday, the 21st. It's predicted to be a busy busy day!

That's crazy! We are going all day long! We have tickets to Mickeys Halloween Party that night. Looks like we'll leave around 2:00pm and let the little one have a nap, then we'll return for the party!

I didnt realize how busy it would be on the 21st! I have PS for Napa Rose at 830 so I think we'll leave the parks around 6 and head back to the hotel and get ready for our night. I was a bit nervous about missing out on going to the parks friday night but now im glad we made the reservation for when we did!!!

Wait so if Utah is on break mid October who is on break for early Oct making the parks really busy at that time?

I thought I read on here it was Utah but maybe I am confused,:confused3 which is possible ;)

Arizona schools are on break the week of the 10th (from what I have read) and I know here in Nor Cal a lot of year round schools have the first two weeks of October off and loads of families head to DL!

Thanks we are going Oct 1-4 and I now re-realize that it's Gay Days weekend but i coulda swore someone said something else was going on at that time. I feel better now about crowds as I was there last year in early Oct and it was Gay Days too which brought in a lot of people but i dont remember it being CRAZY for the rides.

High numbers on TP have nothing to to with UAE. It's because DCA and DL get very busy, part of the day. It's because of the crowds from MHP and those that shift from DL to DCA because of it. Because it's not an all day effect TP can't accurately predict the crowds witha single numer for a single day.

It's a miconception that UAE brings a lot of people to the park, enough to make it crowded. Utah is a drop in the bucket. Arizona is a drop in the bucket. Tens of millions Californians within a two hours drive fill the bucket. This is why all year DL gets busy on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

We are in AZ and my girls are out Oct. 3rd - 18th. We are going the 1st - 7th and the Halloween party on the 3rd.:cool1:

Does anybody now how busy Monday will be? Is it usually busier?

Monday will be busier than a usual Monday. It is not due to UEA alone. It's because some people from allover take a weekend plus trip to be there for Mickey's Halloween party on Tuesday. This is the desired effect of holding the parties on Tuesday.

This Utahn would choose not to visit DLR during UEA break *WDW yes, did so in 2009 - hoping to return next year...* my co worker is taking a BIG family trip *her kids, grandkids...* over UEA. I get annoyed seeing all the red U and blue Y shirts in the parks - I'm not a big logo person *Disney shirts in Disney parks yes* if you're from a place why did you need to announce it *in that way*...?

On New Year's Eve in DLR you'll see lots of shirts for the teams who will be playing in the Rose Bowl. The day after the Rose Bowl, fans for only one of those teams will still be wearing their colors. :lmao:

Ugh, I hope this turns out not happen. :guilty: I booked for the 23rd-26th hoping the UEA would be back home & in school. I was hoping that those who wanted a longer trip would choose the party on the 18th and to book for the week of the 16th. That was my logic :teacher:, but after my limited 3x experience, I've determined that no one can really assume or understand what is going to happen in the future at DLR.

I happen to be from Utah, and I happen to like Utahns. Red shirts, blue shirts, pretty much like them all:rotfl: I'm going over UEA. Do I think I'll see some Utahns? Hope so. Will the parks maybe be busier than I'd prefer? Maybe? Do I still plan on having a great trip with my awesome family? Absolutely! Happy thoughts people, happy thoughts:wizard:
