Uber ?

Hello,

I am staying at AoA and was wondering if Disney allows Uber drivers to pick someone up from a Disney Hotel (AoA in my case) as I will be transferring to a non-Disney Marriott hotel on my check out day for a seminar I am attending. I would prefer to Uber to my second hotel instead of using a Mears shuttle if possible. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am checking out on May 15th so, I would like to know this before traveling on Thursday if possible. TIA for any information you would like to share with me.

There is another relatively new service called Uzurv (Uzurv.com), which offers a system to pre-schedule pickups with specific drivers.

Uber and Lyft also offer pre-scheduling, but their systems actually do nothing but generate your ride request at a specific time. You can't choose your driver through Uber/Lyft scheduling.

With Uzurv, you let drivers know when and where you are going, they indicate interest, and then you select the driver you want. All rides are done on the regular rideshare app, so you pay normally, are fully insured, and can use any Uber/Lyft promotions you may have. The app is free for iPhone or Android; there is a small fee (currently $.99) for each scheduled ride.
