Thank you!
FYI: I have not used to get to MK, just seen people being dropped off here.
At TTC, the driver should take the left flyover to the parking booths, drive down World Drive, turn left on Seven Seas Drive and then right into the passenger drop off. You will then go through security and chose your mode of transportation to MK.
If they will let you in. There have been reports of some being turned away unless they have a dining reservation.
Thank you! I'm thinking another strategy might be to get an Uber to the Contemporary to avoid the TTC.
That's a really iffy alternative. Uber drivers are not supposed to do it, the Contemporary will most likely not let you enter without reservations.
You don't enter. You exit at the turn around outside of the guard-shack. It works most times of the year but at really busy times they have a sheriff waving you away.
That's the part that I said Uber drivers are not supposed to do it. People trying to do work arounds to get use of the convenience of the Contemporary will cause Disney to tighten down and add more restrictions.
Getting dropped off at the TTC is really not nearly as onerous as people make it out to be anyway, I did it just fine when I stayed at POFQ and plan to do it again when staying at GDT.
They already did start to crack down on it. For a while they stopped the ability to make mobile orders at Contempo unless you’re a guest there because so many jerks were doing crap like ordering coffee just so they could be dropped off from rideshares and then abandoning the orders, wasting CM time and hogging order windows during the busy AM rush from actual guests. Obviously it’s not a thing anymore with far fewer guests at CR now but I would not be surprised to see that or similar restrictions come back at some point with the 50th coming up.

My worry is Disney tends to let issues go on for forever, then they cure it with a sledgehammer. The last thing I want to see is Uber being banned entirely. We use Uber almost exclusively these days and choose a resort that has more convenient transportation to the MK.
I think that worry is a bit extreme. Disney has already started controlling it by not allowing non-guests QS orders at certain resorts, and stopping Uber drop-offs in undesignated areas as mentioned previously.
Technically, that's unloading in a traffic lane, which is illegal. You can ask them to drop you off outside of the guard station with no ADR. Sometimes theres a sheriff there that doesn't allow this sometimes not. Technically the Uber driver can let you off at the light where the buses turn into MK. All depends on what you can talk your uber driver into![]()
