Hey, all!

I'm a WDW vet planning my second trip to Universal. First trip was only two nights at CBR, but my upcoming trip will be six nights at RPR. I often like to include one "splurge meal" on my trips and I've been wondering about my options at Universal. I'm not seeing anything so far that lights me on fire. Last time I was at WDW, I had an AMAZING meal at Jiko. I'm actually considering getting a Uber from RPR to Jiko one night just for dinner. Am I crazy to consider that? Is there someplace on property for that "signature dining experience" that I'm missing? Perhaps some of you have a "if you like jiko, you'll love..." suggestion. There's just so much great dining at WDW... Jiko, Yahtsman, Flying Fish....looking for that at UO!

The Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Came back to say.......5 minutes away from Universal you have Sand Lake Road where there are numerous wonderful restaurant experiences.

Ocean Prime, Flemings, Big Fin Seafood and Roy's are just a couple.........all very high standard and wonderful food and service.

Plenty more to chose from too round that area.

Or Oceannaire Seafood at Pointe Orlando. Fabulous place.

Although I could see myself going over to Disney Springs or even Trader Sams I could never see myself going to Disney for a meal (well maybe V&A) Im rarely impressed with there prices\quality ratio, but if you like Jiko I dont see why not for one night.

There are some very good options in Universal.
Emerils Orlando is exceptional IMO - I also enjoyed his restaurant in the RPR.

Make sure you check out the ones in the Portofino and Sapphire Springs hotels as well - not just Citywalk.

So funny. Just had this conversation with my husband tonight. We're DisVets and are doing two nights at RPR Universal in December. I had mentioned to him the idea of taking an Uber to Flying Fish one night. He thought I was nuts.
