Uber tipping?

Oooh, interesting.

(Note that this is in Uber. I don't know if there is a way to see it in Lyft. I do know that Lyft won't let you look at your account if "Location Services" is turned off on your phone. If Location Services is turned on, and you go into the Lyft app, and you click on the menu button in the top left of the Lyft screen and then click on Profile, it will show you your rating, but I don't know how to see a breakdown.

I tried to look in Lyft after I checked Uber. It used to be that you would go to your profile and it would show up under your profile picture. However, I just looked and it's not there so I don't know where it went .

Speaking of rider ratings, I just found out that you can see exactly how many 5 star, 4 star, 3 star etc. ratings you have received from drivers. On the app go to Account - Settings - Privacy - Privacy Center - See Summary - View My Ratings. Quite interesting.

Somebody gave me a "4". Thanks dude. It's been there a while as my rating has been a 4.9* for a year or two. The other 25 drivers gave me 5*.

I tip in the app, the only time I use UBER is when traveling for business so I need to get reimbursed or have the deduction.

I've never let my driver know I'm going to tip them via the app even though I always do and I still have a 5 star rating on both Uber and Lyft.

Ever since I heard that the #1 reason for drivers giving riders a lower rating is for slamming the car door too hard, I have made a point of being VERY gentle when closing the door.

Yeah, I try to close doors very gently. Every once in a while I slam it accidentally, if it gets away from me or something.

I only tip via the app. It's the main reason I don't use Taxis. Fare transparency and the ability to tip when I'm away from the car.
