Uber/Lyft from the Parks

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, I thought there was an Uber thread but I can't find it......
my question is if I order Uber/Lyft from the parks - where will they pick up? I've only ever used Disney buses, I've never driven so I have no idea about any areas besides the bus areas. Just want to be prepared.
Also, are there normally drivers waiting around or very nearby? Just wondering how far in advance I would have to place the order - like before I get to the park exit, or not until I actually have exited the park. I realize I will see exactly where they are when I request them, I was just curious if it's like taxis used to be - sitting around a location, waiting for a customer.

thanks, I knew I saw it at one point in the past but couldn't find it.

When you use the app and have your pick up location as a park the app will tell you where to go. At all it is close to the taxi location. It is not like a taxi where they are just sitting there waiting they will have to get to you. I usually request as we are walking about but not fully out yet so that I'm walking to the taxi in the 5-10 minutes it take Uber to arrive.
