Uber & Lyft Codes

I can't find the great Uber thread that I used to read on this board and I had wanted to ask the question there rather than start a new thread.

Are there still codes for Uber and/or Lyft that new customers can use? We'll be using one or both during our trip next month to go to/from Target and Universal and would like to utilize any codes or savings that we can.

ETA I'm not looking for codes, just trying to find out if they still exist. Thanks!

Any Uber rider or driver can share their personal invite code, which I think is worth $15 off your first ride. If you and a partner are both signing up, after you sign up you will get your own code, which you can then share with your partner, and when they sign up with your code, you will both get a discount on each of your next rides. Obviously, you will need different email accounts and possibly different credit cards for that to work.

I don't know how Lyft invite codes work, but when I signed up without a code I received an email from Lyft offering $5 off several rides in the Orlando area. That was last spring, so that promo may or may not still be active.

Thank you! That's what I thought Uber would still do, and my friend and I both have different stuff so that was the plan we had to help with a bit of the cost. And using Lyft for the trip to/from Target since it's closer to property.
