Uber in Orlando?

Hi all. I know his has been talked about on the boards, but can we use Uber in Orlando? Specifically to get from the airport to an offsite resort?

Is Uber allowed on Disney property?

What about going to resorts. Where do they usually drop you off at? Can we be dropped off at the TTC and monorail it over to Epcot?

Not entirely true. Uber isn't allowed to pick up from the terminal, but it can drop off there.

Uber can drop you off at any Disney resort or park. For MK, you're better off doing a drop-off at Contemporary and walking to the park.

UBER just announced they are "pulling out of Broward County" which is Ft Lauderdale

This is in reaction to loosing a court appeal about being required to have same insurance and background checks as taxi drivers (I think there was a rate issue too)

For legal beagles this means a precedent has been set in Florida . . . .

The way I get around Uber not being able to pick up from MCO is to just get a free hotel shuttle to the nearest hotel to MCO and then use Uber to pick me up from there. Cheaper than any taxi/car service and no one is none the wiser. All they know is you are at an address they can go to and you get to pay Uber rates instead of the over priced taxi rates from MCO.

I use Uber a great deal and this method has never failed me when I come home from traveling.
