Uber from Long Beach Airport to GCH...?

I've been checking the price on the Uber app to see what it would cost (we fly in next week), and it keeps telling me $80 or more. This seems pretty high. Has anyone taken an Uber from LGB to the Disneyland area and what did it cost? I'm thinking our usual $45 flat rate taxi will be the better option.

You may want to confirm this, but I don't think that Uber or Lyft can go to the Long Beach airport. I spoke with a driver this past weekend and he said "no" for Long Beach but yes to LAX.

Only UberBlack can go to LGB I believe. There was a recent thread about this, but I can't link to it (no idea how on my phone). In the title was something about LGB and transportation, and in the thread was a link to a car service that was like $45 pickup, and $38 for the return trip. I'll be trying it in a few weeks!

Hmmmm....you may be right. Just did a new estimate from John Wayne Airport (as an experiment), and it was only $20. If you try to get a pickup at LGB, it forces you to get the Uber Black, which is one of the more expensive options. I'm wondering if we just walk off airport property, we can get a cheaper fare....? Will do some more experimenting.

Alright.....question answered. I just did a fake uber request a block off airport property, and it's only $22.40.

This is correct, Uber doesn't pick up from Long Beach Airport

The flat rate town cars that we use are around $55.

Yes....I did some further experimenting today. To get picked up from the Airport going TO the Disneyland area with UberX at the $20-$25 rate, you have to go off airport property (which is only a 7 minute walk according to google maps), but going from the Disneyland area BACK to the airport with UberX @$20-$25 is OK.

Basically, you are on Vacation. From LGB, just get the flat fee Taxi ($45), right there and no hassles with the luggage. Quick and easy, no waiting.

On the way back, you have plenty of options, such as a Town Car or Shuttle, or other options like Lyft/Uber, though they can have Surge Charges, and I don't like the fact the drivers are not fingerprinted and have a security check run on them.

I would avoid this one at all costs. I had a quote of $38 one way from the airport. When we arrived at our hotel, he charged us $44. He said that he was driving for a friend and this was what he was told to charge. He wouldn't even look at my confirmation. I contacted the company and the said they sent the upgraded sedan than what I ordered. A big rip off

I actually googled them and found some other bad reviews as well. Not worth it! One bad review was them not showing up at all. No thank you! Just going to use the normal taxi and try to wheel and deal a cheaper fair back.

We just came back from DLR this evening.
The flat rate from GCH to LGB is now $55. Our last trip it was $40 for the Ball St route and $50 if they took the freeway.
Bell Services said the rates increased about a week ago. All the flat rates went up.
