Uber from LAX to Disneyland?

We're seriously considering this as the private car is about $85 per way...has anyone done it? Our flight gets in at 8:25. How does Uber work? If it's me, my husband and our 2 year old?

Looks like you already found the other Uber posts! Everyone that uses Uber seems to love it, including us. Download the app, when you have your luggage go to the app to request a car. Usually the driver calls to find out where we are exactly. Driver arrives and hop in and enjoy the ride. No extra tipping required, everything is paid through the app.

We just used UberX from LAX to Disneyland. It was $47. There wasn't a lot of traffic, which can affect the price. Our driver said they're only allowed to pick up passengers in one location, which was in the departures area between terminal 1 and 2. Not sure if there are any other pick up spots.

Does your 2yo require a car seat and will you be bringing one if so? They are not provided by uber drivers.

My advice would be, even though Uber advertises no tipping, you should tip the driver in cash to make up for some of the time it will take you to install a car seat. Drivers rate riders, and the priority if your UberX requests is based on those ratings.

I'm fast enough installing the car seat that by the time they get the luggage in the car I'll be done I'm planning on bringing one for her, and it's a small one. And I do plan on a cash tip

That's us too. I am getting her in her car seat and done before they are getting back into the car!
