Uber from Disney Resort to Universal

We used Uber this week to go from SSR to sea world and loved how convenient this was. We want to stay on Disney property next year but go to Universal. Has anyone done this and used Uber to go to Universal? I know you get EP at deluxe resorts but we have 6 day tickets so can probably spread out top rides over a number of days. Thanks.

We used Lyft. It was $17 there and $21 back. Between AKL to HRH.
Even though you are not staying on site get dropped off and picked up at HRH or one of the other deluxe hotels and walk to the parks from there.

How did it affect your experience not having EP? AKL is actually where family wants to stay!

We always have EPs. In September we did a 21 day trip with 14 nights at AKL and 7 at HRH ( for HHN). In December we stayed at ASMusic for 10 nights but moved to HRH for one night just to get EPs. We kept the ASMusic room just for convenience and to save the effort of packing up, moving rooms etc.
The cost of the wasted WDW room and the AP cost of the HRH room and Lyft each way, still worked out cheaper than two days of EPs.

We have used Uber to go from our WDW resort to Universal, but not for more than one day in a trip. We usually do a split stay with a Universal hotel so that we can get EPs, so we just have to Uber there one time. IMO, it makes sense to look at shortening your WDW stay and adding on a Universal hotel at the end of your stay. Not only will you get EPs, but it will save you multiple Uber trips.

IMHO, if you are not spending time in Disney parks I would stay at one of the Universal hotels with free Express Pass. In terms of service and amenities I think the Hard Rock is at least a nice as any of the hotels I've stayed at in WDW except possibly for AKL. They lack the Disney theming but are really top notch hotels.

So you are wanting to Uber back and forth for 6 days?
That's going to be roughly $50 per day, just tossing that out there.
We do it all the time, doing it tomorrow as a matter of fact. We always Uber to Hard Rock as it's an easier walk in to the park from Ride Share drop off at the main City Walk entrance.
But I would not do it 6 days. I would stay at the Hard Rock., Which is what we are doing on our April trip.
