Hi there!

My first DCL experience will be in March so please pardon my newbie questions: does anyone have experiences taking Uber to and from the Cruise terminal? I am coming from WDW POR and I think that this transfer will be easier. The one I am worried about is getting back to the airport. I booked a flight that leaves at 11:23 am (DCL agent said this is risky?????) and I was planning on taking their bus back to MCO but now I am afraid I will miss my flight. Is Uber allowed to pick up at the cruise terminal? Should I try to move my flight to a later time?

Please help!

We have comfortably made flights that have left at 11:35 while using Disney transfers. We made sure we were off the ship early (either doing express walk-off - which means you carry off your luggage and are waiting to leave as soon as they clear the ship - or being among the first off once they open for general disembarkation). If you are on the transfer bus by 8-8:30; you should get to the airport around 9:30 which still allows you 2 hours to check in and clear security.

The only bad part of a flight right before 11:30 is even if you are flying with a participating airline, you cannot use Onboard Airline Check-in.

I have no experience with Uber in Florida, but here in Las Vegas, the most I have waited for an Uber is 6 minutes.

I would worry that there isn't enough ubers around in the morning. I am too debating whether i should uber it back or take the bus. I priced uber, which costs roughly around $68 from port canaveral to MCO. It will save me $$ from taking the bus line.

I do think flying out at 11:23 am is a bit early. Remember there is customs you have to go through and then finding uber, and the drive to the airport takes an hour if traffic is normal. you have to be at the airport no later than 10 am!

Good luck!

How many passengers do you have? Would you consider booking a private car transfer? It will be a bit more expensive than Disney transfer for two passengers (cheaper if more than two), but there is no waiting around and you get to set a pick up time.
