Uber Eats to WDW resorts?

I just booked a fairly impulsive last-minute trip to WDW for later this month, and while hotel and parks were easy, I'm having an unusually hard time with the dining planning. The biggest problem is that many of our favorites are still closed and others have changed the menu so much that they're not especially appealing. Plus we're more comfortable with outdoor dining than indoors so I plan to limit our sit-down meals to those with outdoor spaces with only a few exceptions.

One of the things I keep coming back to is the idea of UberEats or other such services as a way to get better/more varied food than is currently available at the resorts, but having never ordered delivery to a Disney resort, I'm not sure if or how well it would work. Is there much available in the area that does deliver? Does Disney restrict resort access in ways that make delivery difficult? We'll be at Pop for one night and then Beach Club Villas for the rest of the week, and won't have a car to go offsite ourselves.

Go online w the app and check
put in your resort address and then check

i DoorDash once a week for my mom who is in the Clearwater area. There are so many choices!

My daughter used uber eats at a resort last month, and it worked well, they even found a special of $15 off first delivery to a Disney resort.

You can check what is available any time. I like to check the different apps
i prefer DoorDash and pay the monthly fee for reduced delivery fees. Totally worth it for us. we order weekly for ourselves here in CT and about once a week for my mom (80) in Florida. I am always impressed w how many choices there are.

Thanks all! I don't keep the apps on my phone since none of them operate in my area, but I did poke around on the website a bit and it looks like UberEats and Postmates both have some interesting options so I'm glad to hear that folks have used them from Disney resorts without issue. I was surprised to see some of the Disney Springs restaurants on Postmates. It looks like delivery should be a decent option for days when we don't have ADRs and are just chilling at the resort.

I’ve never heard of postmates, I’ll have to take a look. Do look into DoorDash, I prefer their app over others and prices have been better.
as always, ymmv

Are the UberEats menu prices jacked up? Whenever I use it the prices seem more expensive then buying at the restaurant or ordering delivery through the restraurant's website.

Yes, sometimes restaurants have a higher price on their Uber Eats menu because Uber Eats (and most other delivery apps) take such a large commission from the restaurants. I try to order direct from the restaurant if possible.

We have used Uber eats & grubhub many many times at Disney. I have no idea where you would meet them at pop but it is very easy at the beach club. If you are looking at the front of the building (where ME drops you off) They parked right to the left of that area.

How did this work out? I'm thinking of doing this for upcoming trip.

We did Uber Eats 3 times at Pop last week. We met them at the lobby drop off with no issue.

It worked just fine. We ordered from two different restaurants via UberEats, one while at Pop and one at BCV, and one shop with Shipt and it all went very smoothly. It seems like their shoppers are pretty used to providing service to resort guests.

Smart idea. The prices are more expensive, but compared to a Disney hamburger they're cheap.
