Hi can anyone tell me if i have to declare things brought in duty free shops on the customs form when going to the U.S. ?.

You have to comply with US alcohol and tobacco customs limits. If you are bringing presents that are going to be GIVEN TO US CITIZENS and they will remain IN THE US, then there are limits for that as well. If it's something that you are going to be taking back out of the US after you've visited on holiday I don't think you have a worry.

Here's a link to the US Govt website that details Customs allowances. You shouldn't have too much to worry about, basically, unless you have spent more than $800:
