Before I applied for the job at Barclays which has been offered to me, I applied for a job advertised in my local paper for an Administration Manager at a private hospital. They wrote back saying that they had received applications from candidates with experience in the health industry and so would not be short-listing me for interview.

Today (having accepted the Barclays job offer on Thursday) I received a letter calling me for interview! D'oh! Like busses, I guess.........

Ain't that always the way?

Penny :)

Never rains but it pours doesn't it!

Oh well......at least your CV is up to scratch.

Could you not go for the interview anyway Bev. Just because you have accepted the other job doesn't mean you can't withdraw. That happens to us all the time at work and it is a bit annoying but you have to look after No 1.

Go along for an interveiw Deb, you've nothing to lose and you will get the feel good factor if you know that they both want you.It would be good to have a choice of jobs, you choosing them instead of them choosing you!

Christine...

Christine and Julie - why are you calling Debbie Bev? Too much choccy over Easter??? ;)

DEBBIE - I too agree that you should go for the interview, you have nothing to lose. Would you rather have the hospital job? :D

Sorry Deb, had just been talking to someone at work called Bev and got a bit carried away.

LOL Mazzy - you can never eat enough choccie !!!!!!!!
