GOOD EVENING EVERYONE !!!

I'm planning a big family trip in October and I was planning on making shirts. My uncle was mildly complaining of my color choice for the shirts because he said he was worried about getting hot (they're dark grey).

Does anyone know the typical weather for when we go (Oct. 10th-12th) ? I just want to make sure so I know what to pack and how to dress for the Trick or Treat Party !

Any info would be greatly appreciated !

Last October our week in and around Anaheim was really warm and sunny, we wore shorts and t-shirts every day and we may have put on light sweaters in the evenings. I had heard that October tended to be like that and we were not disappointed last year.

Good to know !

Thanks so much :)

I was thinking about doing orange shirts, or making the design Halloween themed, but I REALLY want to be able to wear 'em year round because I already do with the one's I made from our January trip ! Thanks for the idea though !

Sometimes October is downright hot - like summer-weather hot - and I am praying it is not like that when I go (October 2 - 5). I will be there the weekend before you are, Wazowski, so I have my eye on the weather as well! I skipped a trip to DLR with a friend from out of town a few weeks ago simply because I hate heat and did not want to be out in the hot July sun, no matter how much I love Disney. I am one of those people who burns in five minutes and am really sensitive to the sun. October is very unpredictable, as all of us California people know. It is generally VERY dry (hence, the pick-up of fire season) and often windy in the later part of the month, but as far as temperatures, sometimes it cools down to a nice, comfortable 73 degrees and sometimes it rains and sometimes it is literally 95 degrees. If it is that hot, I will probably be getting much more familiar with my hotel room!

Oh reallly ? well thats kind of good and bad for me. I'm hoping that its cool enough to wear jeans because I'm so comfortable in them ;) I know what you mean about burning in the sun; I'm the same way !! I always bring a key chain sunscreen stick with me when I'm out at the park ! Well I hope for all of our sakes that its nice and cool !

Hey, Princessplazola! I thought I remembered you as being one of the 'who's going in October' people, but I didn't remember you being there on the same exact days! Cool! (You do have an adorable little boy - I always smile when I see him in your signature!) There are a handful of folks who will be there when we are, or maybe will overlap by a day. I know that Cseca is one who will be there when you and I are, and some others I am forgetting at the moment. (I will have to check the Who's Going In October? thread again!) I actually just added the night of the 2nd to my existing reservation, to make it three nights instead of two! (And I found all kinds of nifty ways to rationalize to myself why I should add on an extra night!;) ) I was initially trying to get into the PPH or the DLH on the weekend Wazowskilover is going to DLR - 10/10 - 10/12 - but the PIN# discount that I used had no more rooms available for that weekend, so I ended up with 2nd - 5th, which is fine with me! I figure that is probably fate telling me that is the weekend I am supposed to be there! Where do we get these Lime Green Mickeys I keep hearing about, to help identify us as DISboard members? If I knew where to get one, I would.

Anyway, to answer your question, I am still debating about the MTOT party. If we go, it will be on October 3rd, right? I was on the fence about it because I don't know if my friend would be up for it, and we are supposed to be meeting up with a couple of other friends and I don't know if they will be with us that night or the next day yet, so everything is still up in the air! Also, I am in the process of deciding whether or not to get an AP when I am there, so if I do, I may decide to skip the TOT party to save some money! Plus, we would be going just as us, not in costume, so it would mainly be to just sort of take in the extra Halloween ambience if we go to the party. I don't want to wait too long to decide on whether or not we go because the tickets may sell out. So if I do, then I will post it on here or PM you or something and maybe we can meet up and say hello for a minute! I have to find a lime green mickey head!

Hi PRINCESSplazola!
Yub yub... I'll be there from 2-6, DH joining on the 4th :)!
I'm debating how to pack also... hmm

We went in October 2005 & October 2007 and both times the weather was warm. During the day we wore t-shirts & shorts and at night t-shirt, jeans and light jackets. It was nice!

We're going to be there the 3rd - 6th too!! Yay us!

I thought I had seen a post of yours where you mentioned that, but I was starting to think I was imagining that I had seen other people going during my time! Okay, so that is four groups of us - Cseca, PRINCESSplazola, Prettyprincessbelle and myself. We have to start a separate 'Who's going October 2-6 or anytime in between?' thread!!

Where do I find the Lime Green Mickey heads that I have seen mentioned? These are supposed to be identifying factors for us DISboard members to wear in DLR, and I will gladly get one if I know where to get it!

We will be there from October 5-8.

I think you can get a lime green Mickey Head at the Home Depot paint counter. Not sure what brand of paint it is, though. It is just one of those color strips, and the lime green is a Mickey Head.

However, I do not speak from personal experience. I'm sure someone out there knows more than I do...?

Maybe we'll see you there!

I'm totally getting one for when we're there from Oct. 10th - 12th !!

I know Jade that you're gonna be there the same time ! Maybe we'll spot you at MTOTP !!!
