Hi all - we're headed to WDW from Colorado the first week of this February. We've been there lots of other times in the year - but not Feb. Is it a mixed bag of weather? Does any one know what it's been like recently? We'll be there Feb 2nd to the 9th. Thanks!

hi there...yes as you said it is a mix of weather..we went last year at the beginning of feb and it was beautiful..70s and 80s every day....but you just never know so you gotta pack and plan for every kinda weather....the weather right now is cool..actually seems down right cold down there from what i have been reading.....check on the accuweather site and weather.com.....they are pretty good sites to go by...have a great trip!!!

Should be 70's in day and 50's at night. I have found this weather site to be very helpful: www.intellicast.com. Just enter mco (airport code for Orlando)into the forecast area and click on the arrow for a 10-day forecast.

Thanks for that link! I'm obsessed with checking the Orlando weather right now.

You're very welcome, Somefunmom--noticed your countdown. I'm going on 2/6 to POFQ. What a coincidence!

Just checkin' in - any weather above freezing is fine by me - it's been frigid here the past few days!

We'll also be at the POFQ on between 2/2 until 2/9 - we're coming in from Colorado but I'm originally from NJ (Sergeantsville to be exact :D ). Have a great time!

So far I've noticed 11 other DIS people who will be at POFQ during that time frame--and I'm sure there are even more. (Lots of lime green!) Magic WISHES for a great trip.

1/31 to 2/5 here! Also staying at POFQ. So lime green is the color of choice? And yes my countdown is wrong. We had to push our trip back a couple of weeks.

Are ya'll gonna pack shorts?

I was thinking about jeans, short sleeve shirts and light jackets for hubby and me.

viluvsdisney: we will be in WDW the exact same days you will be! We are at the WL, Feb 2-Feb 9. :sunny:

lenshanem: I pack capris for me & my DH & DD6 always take shorts...they wear them in the upper 60's & higher. :love1:

Dutchesmom: I am with you! Everyone here keeps saying hope "you have great weather" and I tell them anything is better than the highs in the low 30's (and we have been happy to get that!!) :cool1:

Hey Graywife! Hope you enjoy yourself! We stayed at the WL our last time we visited, and have never stayed at POFQ. Have a great time!

Now I wish I was staying at POFQ too. :goodvibes
I am packing shorts no matter what. The locals may question my sanity but my legs are so white they look like uncooked chicken leg. I need some sun!
I want to have something lime green. Anyone have a suggestion? I'd love to meet some DISers there. If only to reassure my husband that this kind of planning is acceptable in some circles.

we are staying at por riverside.....we will be there 2/9-2/14.....hope for lots of :sunny: and warm weather...do you watch orlando weather or kissimmee?? i was told disney was closer to kissimmee..was i told wrong??

I'll be at POFQ from 1/29 to 2/5. I'm checking 3 different weather sites, and as of this morning, most days look dry except possibly Saturday 1/29 and Wednesday evening 2/2 (EMH at MK too!)

But the good news is that it looks like we might see highs in the 70s!

We're leaving on the 30th of January and returning on the 5th of February. Last year we went on the 23rd of February for a week. We won't be taking shorts or capris this year! Last year we were so cold, we wished we had heavy winter coats. This year we'll take some jeans, some khakis, short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, Cuddlduds, sweatshirts, jackets, knee socks, short socks and gloves! We ended up going to Walgreens last year to try to find some long socks. They didn't have any so we bought the heaviest knee highs they had, put those on and put our regular socks on over them. It was freezing cold. This year we are making sure we have a little bit of everything, just in case!

Just to let you know, we have had temps at night down around freezing this past week. I would definitely pack at least one thing that is warm, in case you are in the parks or at DTD late at night.

Thanks Eeyore0062. It's great to have a "local" forecast.
Cyndibelle - I only use mco because it's easier for me to type in than kissimmee. Haven't seen much difference in the reports--and a few degrees either way in the 70s doesn't matter to me when we've been hovering in the teens.

For the past couple of weeks we've had temps of -15 C (5 F) so anything will be better than here. I will be taking shorts and a bathing suit! As they say, you never know this time of the year. About 3 weeks ago I was checking the Orlando temps and it was in the 80's everyday for a week, then yesterday I heard on the news it was below freezing, so just hope and pray that that was part of the Alberta Clipper that went through this weekend and it's gonna warm right up again!!!
