Typical Hours Mid November (7-17)

Anyone have any idea as to what the hours will be like Nov 7-17? Will it be low season (park close at 6 weekdays?) Or can I expect longer hours?

my guess is disneyland hours will be mon-thursday 10-8. Friday 9-midnight, Saturday and Sunday 8-midnight.
California adventure hours will be the same except weekends it will close at 10.

If you are thinking of going during that period, it's worth noting that the Avengers Half Marathon is slated for November 12-15. Last year, the marathon coincided with the official kick-off of the holiday season at DLR.

@figment_jii we have already booked for those days. I realized it was Avengers Marathon after we booked. Hopefully that doesn't cause too much trouble with our time there. Is there anything special that happens to officially kick off the Holidays?

I was there for the end of Avenger's Marathon last year. DTD was very busy on Saturday night (when we arrived) and the parks were fairly busy on Sunday (especially the parking structure). The crowds dissipated pretty quickly on Monday, but the marathon did seem to impact crowds on the race days.

In terms of the start of the holiday...no, it's not like there is a big ceremony or anything like that. The kick-off is when most/much of the holiday offerings will be up and running (some things will have started earlier and some things will start later). Sherry had a great summary is a thread a few days ago.
