I made ressies to take our baby-on-the-way to WDW in October 2004. He will be 7-8 months depending on when he's born:)

Can someone give me a rundown of children similar in age, a typical day at WDW. Ex. wake up at 6, breakfast at 7, head to the park at 9, back to resort at 3 till 6...etc...

I'd like to start thinking about what to do, where to eat and I'd like to have an idea of how our timing is going to be with our little one.

Thank you!

It all depends on the child. My husband and I went to Japan when our DS was 6 months, it was wonderful. We started our day when he woke up and were able to go all day because he would sleep anywhere (in the MEC backpack, in a stroller, in my arms, on a bench seat at a restaurant) If your baby is like that you could plan whatever itinerary you want. Also, I was still nursing full time, so feeding was no problem either. Just find nice quiet spot to sit and voila. I would make sure I brought a Baby Bjorn and a comfy, lightweight stroller that reclines all the way.

It's really hard to respond to this because every child is different.

We took our ds when he was 6 months old so here's what I remembered about that trip. (in some ways it's easier traveling with an infant than a toddler!)

He was probably up around 7:00, fed him and went to parks. He'd take his morning nap in his stroller (infant seat type), we took him on rides when he was awake and he would just look around at everything.

We took breaks in the afternoon and hung out at the resort for a few hours, usually to swim and he'd have his afternoon nap.

We'd head back to the park late afternoon and ds would fall sleep in his stroller for the night. We'd stay out for fireworks, etc.. and it didn't bother him at all. We'd go back to the hotel and put him to bed and that was it.

You'll definitely take things slower touring with an infant, but it is still alot of fun. October is a good time to go because the weather is cooling off and the crowds aren't too bad.

Have fun planning your trip!

It does depend on what your child's scedule will be. We took DS at 8 months, and here was our rough schedule. Wake up at 7:00, breakfast at 8:00, in parks until just after lunch 1:00, nap until usually 4:00, get dressed for dinner, and then dinner 5:30 or 6:00, if a park was open we'd try to go there for an hour or so, and then in bed by 8:30. As you can see, we were only in the parks for about 4 hours a day, and we were fine with that. I wanted to try to keep DS as much to his schedule as possible, since that meant he didn't get cranky or overtired. I'm not comfortable having my children sleep in their strollers all day, just so that I can stay in the parks. There really isn't anything I can do anyway, since I'm not going to wake him to go on rides and such. So, we all just went back to the room and took a nap!!! It was a very relaxing trip.

DD was 7-1/2 months in May when we went, she turned 8 months while we were there.
We just followed her schedule. Now, this is a child that likes to go. She cried in the morning until we left and was fine the rest of the day. She took her naps in the stroller. She was also carried around quite a bit in the Snuggli. We went on rides when she was awake and walked and walked and walked the rest of the time. But, we love to walk and just to be in Disney, so that was not a problem. We did try to have her in bed at night for her normal bedtime, except one night we stayed to watch the parade, whic she loved.
