Typical Crowds Thanksgiving Week?

Have any of you gone to US/IOA during Thanksgiving Week? How crowded was it? How much did you get done? What advice would you give to someone attending that week? Which park would you recommend on Thanksgiving itself?

Historically the crowds haven't been bad leading up to and including Thanksgiving day. BUT...the weekend is NUTS! If you're going before the holiday, you should be fine to do which ever park you want. If you're going that weekend, be prepared for LONG lines and lots and lots of people.

I am hoping for LOW crowds! We will be there the Sunday, Monday, and Tuedsay before Thanksgiving!

Will the Friday after Thanksgiving be just as crowded as the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving?

Also (new to Universal) if you stay at one of the three resorts on site, you receive the express pass for free? Does that mean you don't need to worry as much about crowds and lines because you can bypass the lines? (is this like Disney's fast passes?)
