I am trying to buy airline tickets one way between orlando and los angeles. Does anyone know around what is the typical price I should be looking to pay (obviously as cheap as possible.

Try Bing.com - they have fare predictors that will tell you to wait or buy. Another good site is farecompare.com.

We fly from SFO and have similar fares to LAX to MCO. I paid $180 RT on Delta for our December flights...pretty good! If I get a fare around $225-$250, I would say that's a typical fare.

I use Kayak to search BUT I always also check Southwest airlines (who aren't included in most search sites) - they have one way fares of MCO-LAX for around $129 & no baggage fees right now.
