We were just at typhoon lagoon last week. I walk around without my glasses so I don't "see" as well but I have been there many times so I know the layout. Anyway, we were walking along and all of a sudden it felt like I stepped on a piece of glass. I look at the bottom of my foot and guess what is there. A bee. I stepped on a bee which in turn stung me. It took me 48 years to get stung by a bee. So watch where you are walking.

Ouch!! I hope it didn't ruin your day! I honestly don't recall seeing bees there but one time a HUGE "gator tick" was in the wave pool at BB and everyone freaked out lol. Hope your foot is ok:goodvibes

Check your shoes too. I got stung by a bee in Florida as I put a shoe back on.

Now, I know when I camp to check for crawly things, but it never occurred to me at a pool.

It didn't ruin my day but I had to be careful because my mother is highly allergic to bee stings so I was little worried but after about an hour, all was forgotten. But boy did it hurt.

If that doesn't help the condition go talk to the IFAS Extension people at Flower and Garden Festival about CCD. Oh, never mind.

If it's the first time you've been stung, you won't have an allergic reaction even if you turn out to be allergic - your body needs the first sting to produce IgE to recognise the venom. Just because you've been stung once and didn't react doesn't mean you're in the clear! http://www.maara.org/index.php?page=bee

Ouch!! Haven't been stung by a bee at the water parks yet, but we were in the lazy river at Splish Splash on long island & a snake swam by. People were screaming & jumping off their tubes right & left.
Have to say my kids were much calmer than their mother- I was scarred for life! Hate snakes! :scared1:

We didn't see bees but there were wasps near the bar when we were there in February.

Ouch that stinks! I was also stung at Typhoon Lagoon. We were in line for the shark reef swim and I got stung on the inside of my arm. It was the third time in my life I've been stung - but it was better than sitting at work so I couldn't get too upset :goodvibes

Always carry your Epi pen when traveling to warmer locations without a foot of snow at the moment.

Hope you managed the rest of the day.
