My fiance and I will be visiting the World this June. We are in our late 20s and enjoy thrill rides. Crush N Gusher looks awesome at Typhoon Lagoon; but overall it looks like there are more rides for us at Blizzard Beach though not 100% sure. Which water park would you recommend for us? Only doing one of the two.

The wave pool at TL to me is a must-do. You also get the shark tank swim and the river plus crushgush. BB is awesome too, but we give TL the edge esp if you got one shot only.

BB has better, more thrilling slides overall, but TL has a better wavepool and nice lush theming,it also has the shark reef to snorkel with small sharks and tropical fish and Crush n Gusher which is probably the most unique slide in either park.Aside from Crsuh n Gusher the other slides are mediocre to okay with the Humonga Kowabunga body slide being the most thrilling.Lazy rivers at both parks are pretty equal.I prefer the layout of TL where things feel more spread out since at BB most of the slides are up the mountain so you have to continuously go up the same 2 staircases, which gets tiring and boring or wait in line for the chairlift which only gives you access to two slides anyways. One of those being the family raft ride which is about 50 times better than the one at TL,which is pretty awful.BB also has the more unique theme but the glare of the sun on the fake snow can get bothersome at times. If you could only visit one park and prefer the more thrilling slides then do BB,however TL is probably more popular not because of the slides but other things it offers like the atmosphere and unique attractions like Crush n Gusher and the Shark reef.I honestly couldn't give you a favorite between TL,BB and even Aquatica the waterpark at Sea World, they all have things I love so in my opinion all three are worth visiting.

BB is the one I prefer. Summit Plummet is awesome! My DD, 6 at the time, and I did it. I will say that the wave pool at TL is better, but thrill rides at BB are better. Crushin Gusher is ok, but to me they were pretty short. It is fun going uphill on a water roller coaster.

Blizzard Beach is the better waterpark in WDW, yet somehow generally quieter. But the best waterpark in Orlando is Aquatica, so get out there if you can!

Cwross Where is it; how much is admission; and how far from Disney World is Aquatica?

Aquatica is Sea World's waterpark, which has admission prices similar to BB and TL.It is the newest of the Orlando waterparks having opened just a couple years ago,it's right across the Street from Sea World on International Drive about 15-20 minutes away from Disney. It's not a huge waterpark but it's really fun, they have a body slide with a clear tube where you go through a pool with Commersons dolphins,it's so fast you don't really see them but it's a good concept. The coolest attraction there however is Roa's Rapids which is a lazy river with a fast flowing current that takes you along at a really good clip,I could spend an hour in there straight.Like I said in my earlier post both Disney waterparks and Aquatica are great, even Wet n Wild which is an older waterpark also located on International Drive close to Universal with less theming has a popular following since it usually has more discounts and a goof amount of thrilling and unique slides such as the Disco H2O where they play disco music inside the multi person slide with a disco ball. All 4 parks are different and worth doing, you kinda just have to research them and see which you prefer.

Also don't confuse Aquatica with Discovery Cove which is also part of Sea World.Aquatica is a traditional waterpark while Discovery Cove also located next to Sea World is a more intimate experience where you can swim with dolphins along with other unique experiences, even lunch is included but prices will be in the $180-$240 range.

We like BB much more than TL.

At BB rafts are pulled up by belts. You have to carry them up at TL.

But it really is a hard choice. The shark tank is way cool!!!

I know people have said the wave pool is better at TL, but we didn't like it. We saw too many people come out scraped up and bleeding. They even had to close it for a few minutes while EMS boarded a woman and carried her out of the water. After both my kids came out scraped up enough to need first aid, we decided to avoid that pool now.

Wow did not know about that. These threads bring so much new and good information. Thanks TruBlu for that post.

The wave pool at TL has a regular bobbing wave mode at certain times and other times it has the big surf mode which are huge waves that knock you out.The floor has to be rough to prevent people from slipping and hitting their heads,I've also scraped my knees pretty good on the floor at the TL wave pool.I find the BB wave pool too small and boring so I do prefer the TL one.Aquatica has two twin wave pools that have regular bobbing waves although I believe one pool has slightly larger waves but nothing like the TL where it's just one huge tsunami type wave.

If you want to hit slide after slide, BB is better. I love TL better for the theming, wave pool, and crush n gusher. TL seems like a tropical paradise to me.

A couple things I noticed - your first day, you have lunch and dinner close together. You won't get your money's worth at Sanaa if you eat a full meal at rainforest 4 hours before.

If you want to watch fireworks from a swing or hammock at the Poly, get there 1-2 hours early. There aren't that many available and they fill up quick and early. On the days when you have ADR's at multiple locations, be prepared to lose several hours a day on transportation.

Can you tell we made all of these mistakes? :-)

But I think you have a relaxing, romantic itinerary overall and will have a great time!
