Typhoon Lagoon vs. Blizzard Beach

In all my years of going to WDW I have never been to a Disney water park. This year I am putting my fears ( I am piglet sized, short and chubby) aside because my man wants to go soooo bad. So all you water park vets. which is better? We are a young early 20's couple w/o children......

My vote is for Typhoon Lagoon. Go and ahead fun. Once you are there I am sure you are going to love it!!

My vote is for both!! My family loves both of them and would rather go there than to the theme parks.

If you like more slides (a little longer, faster, etc...) than I would say BB. To me BB feels a little more "concretey" than TL, but is still a great park.

If you like feeling like you are on a tropical island (but still with plenty of slides!) then TL. It also has a wave pool, where BB only has the bobbing pool. Also, you can swim with the sharks at TL. I think TL has a little more of a romantic feel to it (if you can say that about a park that contains thousands of people!).

Either way I recommend going to the parks first thing in the morning, the water is plenty warm. The lines are almost non-existent the first few hours! Both parks are great.

I agree with sameyeyam. Both parks are nice and TL is a bit more shaded and romantic. BB has more slides and cement.
Let me just say I am a Pooh or Piglet (I think maybe I am a tad over chubby, lol) size myself and have been for most of my adult disney trips....I have never missed going to a Disney water park because of it! Lots of people go there in EVERY shape and size. It is Disney and everyone is sooooo busy enjoying themselves no one cares about size! Just go and enjoy!!!!!!!!
