typhoon lagoon question

Hey Disers, I'm sitting here watching my undiscovered walt disney on tive. I'm not sure why I caught it before but they did a segment on typhoon lagoon and how you can rent out the surf pool for all morning or all night. Does anyone have any info on this? I'm a surfer and thought that would be cool as heck to rent it out for me and my fiance (i'm sure it will be to expensive but wanted to ask just in case). Please help me out experts...

It's only for 1.5 hours before the park opens from 7:30 to 9:00 am (I'm not aware of after it closes). You can take lessons through WDW recreation. Call WDW and they will assist you.

They do rent it out in the evenings after the park closes. You get 100 waves and this is only for experienced surfers. It costs around $1000, so you might want to get more people in your group to lower the cost per person. You also can reserve these private parties about 90 days in advance and I would recomend it because they fill up fast. you can call the Typhoon Hotline (407-939-7529) to get more info.

No you can actually sign up for private surf parties read my above post!!! i was a cast member at TL. it is a fact that they have them.

yep, I've seen that video, the "rent the park" and the surf classes are two completely separate things. No idea how much they are though.

Though after seeing that we did ask about the VIP tour guides . . . $600 an hour, 3 hour minimum or something like that. And I saw nothing that they did that anyone couldn't do for themselves.
