Typhoon Lagoon on Sat or Sun???

I've read that TL should be avoided on weekends, but this Saturday or Sunday may be the time my family can visit this park during our upcoming trip. We loved it when we were there (weekday) back in 2003. I would welcome any info/experience on TL on weekends. especially in summer. If you by some chance have been there in late August, I've hit the jackpot. Was it completely insane, or managable?

We went on a Saturday in the early fall and it wasn't too bad, but I would figure from what I have seen from the outside that Sunday may be better than Saturday.

Yes Sundays are better than Saturdays. The last week in august is better than the first week in august, but that is traditionally the last really busy week of the season.
