Typhoon Lagoon on Christmas Day?

Well, I said "never again" to Christmas week, but, it appears "never say never" has come into play as my DS10's school changed their December holiday dates and our week-before-Christmas trip has become a week-during-Christmas trip!

I'm currently planning on avoiding the theme parks on Christmas Day and I'm wondering if anyone has gone to Typhoon Lagoon that day?

Obviously, weather may play a factor, but I'm wondering what your experience was? Our plan would be to go at opening and do whatever we can. Even during slower times, we typically go at RD and are out by about 2 pm. I'm also contemplating booking a cabana as a special treat, but I'm still on the fence on that.

I'm trying to avoid MK-level crowds that day and, if Typhoon Lagoon will be as busy as MK, I will think of an alternate plan.

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

TL may not be open on Christmas Day as usually around that time one of the Water Parks is down for seasonal maintenance

I have absolutely nothing to offer to this thread, but sounds like an awesome Christmas Day to me! :beach:

Perhaps the ultimate “zig when others zag” Disney strategy.

This year B.B. is down, so Typhoon Lagoon would be open, pending weather!

I went off of last year's schedule, so I made the assumption TL would be open. I'll take either one! Yes, pending weather of course!! I would actually prefer BB as I've always had a little dream of playing WinterSummerland ON Christmas day, LOL!

Except I'm wondering if it's all "zag" in all parks, theme and water (and DS!) on Christmas Day!? I think we'll just plan on doing it. We can always change our minds that morning depending on the weather. If we go in knowing it's going to be busy, no matter what, it will be fine. We're going to stay at the Swan, so I'm thinking Garden Grove breakfast, water park, come back and maybe play Fantasia mini-golf and then Shula's for dinner? I think that would be an awesome Christmas!
