We are arriving on a Wednesday in July, should be checked in to grand Floridian by 1 PM.
We are going with family members who have never visited Disney World, and we personally have never been to a waterpark before.
We do not want to spend our arrival day going to the park. Is this a good choice our tickets come with a free day.
I am leery of the 45 minutes it will take to get there, long wait times 2-5pm, potential bad weather, and the poor dining options there. I know the grand Floridian itself has a very nice pool, which is what we did the last time we were there.
If we don’t do Typhoon Lagoon, we would do a very enjoyable dinner either at the Polynesian, Boma, or Disney Springs.
It seems like it is not worth the headache of traveling out there, and then potentially taking a cold shower at the waterpark, staying out late, and being cranky for our early wake up the next day to go to magic Kingdom.
Thoughts???
Thank you!!
