I seem to remember that the original listing for the event said that tickets would be given out for meals.
Now the listing (on DVC member site) says "light refreshments."
Am I correct in thinking the "meal" has been eliminated?
Thanks.

The Beach Bash and earlier year’s TL MM events only had Mickey bars, chips, cookies and lemonade.
But I didn’t pay enough attention to this year’s offering since none of them matched my trip.

The email I received after registration says:

Complimentary Meal Voucher: Each Guest will receive a complimentary meal voucher upon check in. Each complimentary meal consists of one (1) entree and one (1) fountain beverage at participating quick service restaurants.

I believe they have said 'light refreshments' on the DVC site for ALL the moonlight magic events this year, and all of them have had the meal voucher so far.

Aha! Yes, the email does say "meal voucher," and the website does say "light refreshments."
My interest is not that I'm anxious to get a "free" meal, but rather I have a religious dietary requirement, and figured I would call DVC and ask if there are accommodations for special food needs. But I didn't want to call if there was no meal. So now I guess I will call!
And yes, I've been to a Moonlight Magic before (in Epcot) and know that the meals are mass produced and uniform. But it is Disney, and they are very good at satisfying everybody.

For what it's worth, we attended the DVC after-hours events at Typhoon Lagoon in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The only free food offered was snack items: ice cream, cookies and bagged chips.

For the last 1-2 years they had Leaning Palms open with more substantial food available for purchase.

I suspect that is all there will be. I tried calling DVC this morning, and there was a 17 minute. So I hung up, figuring people are calling with more urgent problems; I will try again next week.
