Hi everyone,

I am currently Planning my trip and I’ve never been to any of the water parks apart from when I was very small. I will be visiting the first couple of weeks in November and was wondering if it would be worth going to typhoon lagoon? I understand that they have heated pools, but was hoping to see if anyone has been in the winter before and if so how was the weather, crowds etc?

I go to the water parks in the winter at least once a month. Crowds are very low, even on days the theme parks are crowded. Last year I went to Blizzard Beach a few days after Christmas, the busiest week of the year for the theme parks and the longest wait I had for a slide was 10 minutes.

Most of the time the temperatures are in the upper 70s to low or mid 80s which is warm enough for me. I am from the Northeast so still have a tolerance for cooler weather even living in Florida now.

"Winter" in Florida is basically just a calendar thing. Actually, having said that, November is still technically fall. But my point is that November is likely to be water park weather. Especially for those from cooler climates.

The fall weather in November is usually fine for visiting a water park, but this is also a personal thing depending on your tolerance for cooler "warm" weather.

For example, if it is 72 that would be great water park weather for some, but I would be considering wearing a sweatshirt and not going close to a pool.

It could also be in the 80s and not a problem for me or pretty much anyone.

In the end, you really just have to wait and see what the weather is when you get closer to your trip.

It really depends on your comfort level with different air temperatures. It could well be 80s, which would be fine for most people. But it could also be 70s or even a "cold snap" with 60s, which many of us would find uncomfortable.

I brought a high school group years ago at Thanksgiving, and their first day was Typhoon Lagoon. Temp was low 60s at best that afternoon. It felt as if our group were the only people there, and the kids had an absolute blast, doing whatever they wanted with no lines at all. Meanwhile, most of the grownups relaxed on lounge chairs wearing jeans and sweatshirts!

Depends where you are from, and we have done the water parks in the cooler months and froze since being wet with some breeze and only in the 70's is actually cool and both of the disney ones have alot of shade.

The majority of our WDW trips have been in Nov, and we have always spent time in whichever water park is open. Last year, we had a rainier than usual week, but our grandsons (17 & 18 yrs old) are totally addicted to body surfing and only left the wave pool when Miss Tilly blew her last whistle for the day, in the rain. Why not? The weather and the water were both warm. Of course, it is more pleasant when the sun is out!

it is. TL will likely be closed and BB reopened.
Yes, agreed. In the spring, as they were transitioning from BB being open to TL being open, the first hint was that they didn't list the hours of BB past a certain date. It was annoying for those trying to reserve a cabana in their 60+ day window.

Early November should still be fine for visiting a water park in Orlando, with the probable perk of smaller crowds & shorter lines.

It's prob posted elsewhere, but I read BB will reopen and likely 11/11
