We are planning on going in February. Has anyone been this time of year? We are wondering if it is going to be too cold to swim.

Part of that depends on where you are coming from. If you are from a cold weather area then you may think the cooler FL temps in Feb are actually quite balmy compared to where you left so it will be fine.

I was in WDW in Feb a few years ago and there seemed to always be people in the pools. The lifeguards were wearing full cold weather gear-- hats, gloves, coats, track suits etc..., and were guarding the pool of swimmers. It was quite a site!

The main thing to remember is that the water is heated to a comfortable temperature, but darn it, they haven't figured out yet how to do the same for the air. That rumor of an invisible dome over WDW that keeps it temperature controlled is still just a rumor. So while the water may be fine, you do have to get out and get from one attraction to another while soaking wet.

If you are made of hearty stuff or happen to get a patch of very warm weather while you are there then you will have a great time.

Me? I am a wimp from the South and wouldn't do it.

A few years ago it was in the low to mid 80's in january, and we went to blizzard beach. It was nice at that temp, but as soon as the sun started to go down it got too cold for me.

We will go to Typhoon this year if it hits those temps, but otherwise I will pass. We have annual passes to a waterpark here in NH, and it if it is below 80 I get cold.
