Typhoon Lagoon in December?

How likely are we to attend Typhoon Lagoon in December? I don't know what the weather is like in Florida in December, but I know it's open at that time (although Blizzard Beach will be closed for refurbishment). It must be open for a reason. We are going the week before Christmas. Should I plan one day of my itinerary for this?

I personally wouldn't go to a waterpark in Dec, but I live in FL and get cold when the temps reach the low 70's, so you may not want to go by me. If you are from the north, then this may not be an issue for you.
Florida weather is very unpredictable. The last several winters have been rather warm, but daytime highs in Dec can range from 65-80 degrees.
That said, we have gone in Dec the past two years, and while it was fairly warm during the day, it wasn't hot enough for me to want to hit a waterpark.

We've been in Jan & Feb 3 times, and we've never gone to the water parks. And I'm in Michigan. We finally went in October and got to go to a water park. We still have our PHP passes from 2002 with 3 'plusses' on them waiting for us to use! (We finally will in August!)

I would bet against visiting a water park.

We went several years ago in the middle of December stayed all day and it was great. I DO NOT LIKE cold water and won't go in many pools because of this but the water was very nice. I vividly remember writing Christmas cards while my DH and nephew went on some of the big slides by themselves. So I would plan it but be flexible in case the weather doesn't cooperate that particular day.

It is still hot in December. I always laugh when I have to wear shorts on Christmas Day because it is too hot. January and Feburary are generally the cold months.

It really depends. The winter of 2005 was unusually cold for a few weeks. Couldn't go to water parks or pools. Its funny but you can tell when people came to fla. during a cold week because they bring out winter coats that have only been worn once. The style and fashion tell it all!

Bbbbrrrrrr!!! You northerners might like Typhoon Lagoon in December, but us Floridians are wearing jeans and sweaters when the temp gets below 80.
