Typhoon Lagoon Closed in Oct?

Someone on my waterparks thread mentioned that TL will be closed in Oct. I checked the disney site and couldn't find any info so I figured someone could point me into the right direction to confirm this. I never imagined a waterpark would be closed in Oct since I hear that is still rather warm. Oh well.

We've been to WDW the last two years at the end of October. Both times, Blizzard Beach was closed. If I remember correctly, BB usually closes in Oct. and TL closes in Jan. for refurbishment.

We went to TL the first week of Oct. last year and BB was open also, we didn't go to BB, but I know it was open. Where did you see that it will be closed? We will be there the first week of Oct. again this year, and we are really looking forward to visiting TL again, as well as BB.
I am hoping that it will be open...!

According to Intercot's historical hours, Blizzard Beach was closed last year Oct 24 - Dec 11 and Typhoon Lagoon was closed Dec 12 to March 12.

SR - I'm there the first week of Oct too and really want to try out the new slide. Another person posted that TL was closed on my post "waterparks in oct". Since you were there last year, how crowded was it during the afternoon (if you were at the waterpark in the afternoon)?

The last time we were there in October both water parks were open. That trip was a few years ago. I don't remember either one of them being too crowded, we never really waited too long for anything. The new section at Typhoon Lagoon I am sure will be busy. Hopefully park hours will be posted by the end of this week(keeping my fingers crossed)

We were at WDW last year during the first week of Novamber. DH and DD went to TL, but BB was closed. As far as I remember, both BB and TL were open during October.

Historically, BB closes for yearly refurbishment on the second to last, or last Sunday of October. TL does not close for yearly refurbishment until wintertime..not sure of the exact time frame, but not until the new year.

I am crossing my fingers that BB will still be open during my trip late October.

I alsoasked a CM on the phone and thay said it will be closed I hope thay are wrong. I would love to go to BB & TL
