Typhoon Lagoon closed from october 3rd ?

Reading mixed reports here

The disney travel agents operating hours lists TL in refurb all of october except for the first 3 days

Some planning sites are insisting that the disney official schedule is wrong and TL will be in refurb from oct 25th on

I really don't know what to think

Has anyone official word on that ?

Nothing yet. Made an inquery here a couple days ago hoping a CM that works there seasonally had some insight but no response. TL has never closed that early for refurbishment but who knows. We love TL and will only get one visit with current listing. Really hoping the TA calender is wrong!!

The mixed information is coming from here- this is apparently the official media/travel agent's release of park hours & it states TL refurbished in early Oct.

I'm hoping it's wrong. I think the mix up is, IMO, because, 1. they don't usually close a waterpark that early in Oct for refurbishment and 2. usually it's BB that closes in the fall. At least that's what I make of it. We always go in Oct/Nov and only once that I can remember it was TL that was closed rather than BB. I hope it's wrong as I planned to celebrate my son's b-day at TL, my preference of the two.

In fact it's TL that's usually closed in the fall
BB closed in october in 2006, 2009 and 2011
All other years in the last 10 years were TL closure in the fall

ButI guess it doesn't matter, I still want to go to TL lol

I'm shocked to see that! We must have timed the years good, I guess. Although, that makes sense since we don't always go to the water parks.

This past year TL closed first and reopened Sunday, January 4 when BB closed. I think that is a typical schedule. TL closed longer a few years ago when they redid the bottom of the wave pool. Maybe a bigger refurb is planned that needs more time.
I think they should reopen it and have both open over the Christmas/NY holidays. It was in the 80s our days there this year.
Maybe close it a few weeks earlier to reopen by Christmas, then close BB after New Year rush.

I don't know if it's closing that early but the two waterparks alternate closures in the off season so each one is refurbed every other year. Disney has re opened a closed waterpark for the holidays in the past but it will go right back down again afterwards to complete the refurb.
