We are getting into orlando at 10am

I want to do typhoon lagoon and downtown disney during the day, back to the hotel for a couple hours and then magic kingdom at night. Is that doable? Or is it too much travel time between TL and DTD to do together?

Travel between TL and DTD is not much, We ended up on the bus on that loop for a while for some reason. (We went DTD to TL to DTD to TL to POR)

Is it possible? Maybe. Depends on what all you want to do. Do you land at 10? Or get into the resort at 10? I'm wondering about the hotel for a couple hours part. Say you get to TL at 11. There until 3 or 4 DTD until 5 hotel 5:45-7 MK 7:45 - Close?

Arrive at the airport at 10 so im thinking out the hotel en route to TL at 1230. My main concern i think is transportation between TL and DTD, not sure if that exists. The other thing is how many hours at TL is sufficient since ive never been. Im not into thrill but the themeing i hear is wonderful and the lazy river sounds like my cup of tea.

I would think at least 4 hours at TL...we usually stay 4-5 hours. It also depends on when you are traveling...if it is a busy day at TL the lines could be really long. TL is very close to DTD, but you could stop at resorts along the way making the 5 minute drive one hour. If it is possible to do DTD another day I would. You could leave TL around 5pm go back to your room and be at MK for the rest of the night.

Honestly, I think you're trying to squeeze too much into that first day. Assuming that when you say you're arriving in Orlando at 10:00 that you mean that's when your plane is landing, you should expect to get to your resort between 11:15 and 11:30. I also take early morning flights to Orlando, and because of how early I have to get up for them, I am definitely ready for lunch by the time I get to my resort. Add that time in (plus time for checking in and at least dropping off your carry on bags in your room), and I would think you wouldn't be at the bus stop for TL until 12:30 at the least. For me, 3-4 hours at TL is enough. But then add in going to DTD, maybe spending a couple hours there, then going back to your hotel for a couple hours, and I can't see getting to to MK before 9:00. You don't say when you're going, so I don't know how late MK would be open, but you'd probably only get a few hours (although if it's an evening EMH day, you could get 5 hours), but especially after getting up early to travel and then spending several hours at TL, I think I would be too wiped out to enjoy MK. I agree with staceyrhood about saving DTD for another day.

I would feel rushed if I was doing all of this in one day. Between lines at TL and all of the stores at DTD, I would not be able to get everything I want done. Maybe move DTD to another day - maybe if your going to AK - do it later that night?

This is my thinking, too. We will be arriving at MCO at 9:30a. We have a reservation at TRex at 3:30. I keep thinking I should add another day to our tickets and head to MK or even Epcot that first night, but then I remind myself that we will be getting up at 4am to get to the airport. Then a few days go by and I start thinking the same thing again. But, the reality is if you're landing at 10, you will have been up since very early that morning, so how enjoyable would being up late at MK be. Add in how much a waterpark can tire you out, and it sounds like going to MK that night is a really bad idea.

I usually get into MCO at 10:30, and I do head to a park as soon as I've gone to my room, dropped off my luggage and eaten lunch. In fact, I go to Epcot for a few hours, and then hop to MK for Wishes and MSEP, but to me that doesn't sound anywhere near as tiring as TL, DTD, back to hotel for a couple hours, then MK.
