Typhoon Lagoon and a park in one day?

Can I go to both a park and a water park in the same day if I don't have the park hopper option on my ticket? I am not sure my daughter is going to want to stay at Typhoon all day, so I would like to have the option of visiting a park in the aftenoon if needed.

Yes you can do that. TL is not considered a "park" in the same way as Epcot, MGM, AK, and MK. We do that alot, start in a water park, go to the room after lunch, nap, and then head off to a "park" for the evening.
