I have search all over and can't find the answer so hopefully someone here will know it. Can you reserve premium seating in advance and if so when and how. I'm not looking at the cabana only the chairs.

So when you rent a chair/table/umbrella how do you keep people from just moving your stuff and sitting down? Is there a CM that is "around" the tables and making sure that doesn't happen?

The cabanas and rented umbrellas/chairs are in a corded off area and a person has to have a wristband for that day to get into the area. And there are CMs there to enforce these rules.

Yes!
The 2 chairs include an umbrella & table- valid for 4 people.
The beachcomber shack (TL) or polar patio (bb) are valid for 6 people with availability to add guests 7-10 for $25 each.

We booked a polar patio for BB for May 10th and I CAN NOT WAIT. Yes, it was a splurge, but I feel BB gets so much hotter and the sun glares down on you so much worse than at TL, and I wanted a guaranteed shady spot, because my DDs are only 3 and 5. I think it will be worth the expense.

Do the regular chairs at Typhoon Lagoon have umbrellas? I'd be interested in the premium chairs if that's the only way to get a shady/umbrella spot. Otherwise, what is the benefit?

I am sure these have a cancel by date or your card is charged. Is it one day or two? What happens if it rains that day will they let you cancel day of without penalty?

For the reserved chairs can you get four chairs? Does anyone know the additional cost? We are five and two chairs will not cut it

I think you'd have to end up renting 2 of the tables, if you wanted 4 chairs with 5 ppl. As far as the charging, they charged our credit card the day we reserved it. I thought it was a little odd, but I guess they'll just refund you if you cancel within the time frame (I'm thinking it's 24-48 hrs., but not for sure.) I'm also pretty sure the only way they refund you (other than you cancelling in time) is if the park closes due to weather, so not just because it rains.

I found this map and it shows the preferred seating (letter U) in only one area. Is this correct? When I called 407-WDW-PLAY to ask questions they said the locations are in different areas of the theme park but I know cm's don't always give the correct info

If the area noted as U on the map is the only area where the preferred seats are located is it too out of the way for everything else? We will mostly do the family float and the lazy river. While the older teens may want to do some of the more adventureous rides

After seeing where the location is it doesn't seem to appealing. I thought it would be closer to the main activity. Thinking twice about this.

We were considering this also. I will take a look at the map. One question do you know how many sets of chairs they have in that area?
