Im a little confused as to which kind to buy. Would it be a sharpie? I saw posted that the characters need a big pen to sign books but exactly what does this mean. There were the regular sharpies and the another kind said fine point but the marker didnt look that big just the normal size???

Sharpies are the best, the kind with the clicky thing (technical term, I know;)) at end so that you don't have to keep track of the cap. The "gloved" characters can't grip small pens that well to do an autograph. I hope that helps answer your question. Oh, you are most likely going to find those sharpies on sale now before school starts than later when the prices rise again.

I totally agree that the retractable (I think that is what they are called) Sharpies are the BEST. We used this last time we went and the characters actually seemed to appreciate not having to remove a cap etc. ;)

We tried the Sharpies, but I kept worrying about the kids marking on their clothes. I wound up buying the fat pens there (for like 4 dollars each), and those worked perfectly. I would suggest finding a similarly "fat" pen. For what it's worth, the Disney pens are still functional 1 year later...

Had not thought about the retractable Sharpies ... will have to give them a try this trip ... I'm thinking of getting one of the blank Vinylmation Mickeys for autographs this trip. We usually get autograph books and a fat Disney pen at the parks when we get there.
