It's our first time going in during Pres week and I don't want to bring clothing we will not use.

Do you recommend we bring shorts, capri's, short sleeved shirts, a light jacket?

I think we might get away with jeans, short sleeved shirts and a light jacket. Are shorts recommended or will it probably be too cold.

Thanks

We haven't been that week, but are going this year. We're bringing a bit of everything, but since we live here in the upper midwest, I'm expecting to be wearing shorts more often than the locals might think is respectable. So, about 2/3 "warmer weather" stuff and 1/3 "cooler weather" stuff. Plus ponchos, 'cause you never know.

I know you don't want to "bing it all" but the fact is, you need to bring at least a little of everything at this time of year.

We just returned and I'll tell you I used everything from bathing suits, to shorts, short sleeved shirts, capris, jeans, sweatshirts, light (and heavier) jackets...we used it all! I know it is CRAZY, but really, we go at this time every year, and you just never know!

I know that's not the answer you're looking for, but better safe than sorry.

The other solution is not to bring as many heavy things, and buy a sweatshirt as a souvenier if you have to. Saw lots of people doing that out of necessity last week.

They are now putting out gloves and hats for you to purchase on colder days as well, so they won't be hard to find.

I totally agree with the poncho. We used one almost every day, and it NEVER rained. We needed them for the wet rides!

We were there the 11 - 15. It was COLD on Friday night and we are from Minnesota! Jeans, t-shirt, sweatshirt and light jacket that night. During the day on the 12th and 13th, I wore capris and DS11 wore sport pants. We had t-shirts under a sweatshirt and were very comfortable. DS would slip his sweatshirt off for periods of time and then have to put it back on. On the 14th, we wore shorts and t-shirts (high was 74) and we were very comfortable but were back to sweathshirts or light jackets in the evening. I would for sure check the weather site before you leave - it's pretty accurate. I know this whole week looked beautiful - high 70s and low 80s during the day! Have a great time - we loved the weather for touring!

I called to make a PS today, and asked the CM what the weather was like today. She said it was in the high 70's...please stay that warm for our visit!

I am a local and I have shorts on now. If you are from a cold climate you will probably find it warm. I would bring all your suggestions. You might need it.

Warm as of right now and going to be tomorrow, but I was listening to the radio and it said a cold front was coming, but it could last 2 days or it could last 2 weeks never know with Florida weather. The last cold front -last week lasted about 3 days and got down to the 30's at night, but tomorrow the high is supposed to be in the 80's. I say pack a little of everything as you will could need it. This week I have wore jeans and light jacket to shorts and tank tops. Mornings and nights might be chilly.

Pack a little of everything, you can layer t shirts on cooler days in the am, or wear just a single t shirt on a warm day.

You do want to be comfortable. I usually feel comfortable with shorts on when it's cooler if I have enough layers on the top.

Now we are not talking really short shorts here, more the longish type, or capris.

We're there right now, its was 80 today, hot...wore shorts and a tank top but the other day, I was in a sweatshirt and a light jacket. Tomorrow low is in the 40s again so will need a sweatshirt again with a T-shirt under so I can strip mid-day. you really do need it all. The coolest we've seen so far was 35 in the mornings...even with that, you do not need mitts and hats unless your coming from a hot hot climate and are not used to cool weather.

I would say bring a light jacket but that would be about it. I live in Alabama and it is hot here now so I'm sure in florida it will be hotter.

We just got back from Disney and it was cool the first 2 days and the the last 3 it was warm. Here is what I would recommend:

Hooded sweatshirt (kids)
Adults lighter weight fleece sweatshirt (lighter easier to haul to the parks)
Lined jacket (We had fleece lined ones. We wore these w/ sweatshirts under them one day....burrr....not as bad as Indiana weather though!)
Jean Shorts (they go w/ everything!)
Jeans (one pair)
Sweatpants (I wish I would have put these on my kids at night for going to the parks....then I would'nt have to wake them up to put PJ's on! I would bring several neutral pairs)
Long sleeve shirt (wear one and take one, maybe?)
T-shirts
Lots of socks & underwear!
Gloves
Extra shoes (my hubby didn't & got a nasty blister from his shoes rubbing his foot)
Swimsuit (one per person)
No towels...the pool has them

I think I could have just had my 3 in 1 jacket & that's it, no additional sweatshirts. I would also pack your coats in your luggage before you check it in...less stuff to haul!

I also layered a long sleeve t shirt over a short sleeve on on my son on warmer days...lighter to haul!

I would always think about how bulky it is to haul to the parks and pack!
Have fun! :)

We are here now. wore shorts yesterday - it has been getting up to 80 degrees. If I were you, I would bring everything..... shorts, capris, pants, t-shirts, hoodies, light jacket.

The extended forecast for next week calls for highs in mid to upper 70's, and lows in the mid to upper 50's. Expect partly cloudy skies with things cooling off slightly Thursday with a chance for rain. Of course, predicting the weather a week out is an inexact science, but at least no major cold fronts bringing 40 degree weather back is expected.

I was at WDW during Presiden't week several years ago. We stayed for 2 weeks. You probably don't want to here this but a couple of days the high for the day was in the mid 50's. Early evening hours were as low as high 20's. The week after, the highs were mid 80's. So as you can see we needed all types of clothes. At the time my youngest son was only 7 months old. I hadn't really brought any winter clothes for him (we're from Canada so these temperatures weren't too cold). I just put a lot of layers on him. That works good to for days when you don't know how warm it's going to get because it's always easy to take clothes off if you start getting to warm.

President's week is our week! I'm already packed based on the 10-day forcast!! I've packed shorts (capris) and tank tops. I've included a sweatshirt and an extra pair of pants (I'll already have a pair from the plane ride down as well as a light jacket & fleece thingie). I will buy another sweatshirt as a souvy. I ALWAYS overpack. Since they are so strict about luggage weight and I refuse to carry 2 bags just for me, I'm not packing the extra pants and long sleeve shirts that I always take and never wear. If I get stuck, I'll do some laundry or shop.
My DD (17) will wear jeans and a tee with a hooded jacket she can tie around her waist. No shorts for her!

We live in Central Florida. Looks like the 10 day forcast has most days in the high 70's and most nights in the low 60's.

We just got back from the Magic Kingdom about 30 min ago and it is FREEZING! I checked the temp and it is only 51 degrees right now.
but, in my earlier post yesterday I posted that is has been up to 80 degrees. so I would say again..... pack everything and if a certain park is open late on a given night (like tonight, MJK is open til Midnight), you will need pants and a sweatshirt and/or jacket.

For one summer trip everything from jeans to tank tops got packed

This is the opinion of someone from Miami and based on the 10-day predictions.

It seems as though it'll be around 80 for the highs & 60 for the lows Wednesday through Sunday slowly dropping downwards around 70 as the high and 50 as the low for the weekend, so bring it all! I'm bringing shorts ofcourse, as I wore the shorts in Miami when it was mid 30s (BR!) but it is freezing outside in Miami, about 55. Seems you should bring ponchos or hoodies, rain seems possible for the weekend (Thursday to Sunday)
