I was on the road which runs right in front of DTD and saw the signs to turn for Pop Century Resort. I noticed because I thought it would somehow be close to the All Stars Resorts. So, therefore I am assuming it is considered a DTD resort. Try MapQuest if you have the resorts street address and you can get good driving directions... Good luck!
I can't give you exact directions but I can try to "orient" you. Pop Century is located "behind" CBR off of Victory Way. Victory Way runs between Osceola Parkway and East Buena Vista Drive. (Buena Vista is the main road that runs in front of the Boardwalk Resort, CBR resort and down toward Typhoon Lagoon, DD etc.). You would turn onto Victory Way before you get to the CBR entrance (turn where the CBR buses turn). Pop Century will be down aways on your left. My guess is that you can also probably get from the FL Turnpike right onto the Osceola Parkway and then turn onto Victory Way from that end, passing the WWofSports on your left before coming to Pop Century on your right.
Originally posted by Chip 'n Dale Express Pop Century is classified as a "Wide World of Sports" area resort. It really should be a Studios area resort, but *shrug* it's just wording.
From I-4, I'd take the Osceola Parkway exit, and then it's just a hop skip and a jump right over to Pop Century.
That's funny! I thought that since PC was SO close to CBR it'd be considered an Epcot resort, like CBR is!! Learn something new every day on these boards
Edited to add: Ok, my curiousity got the better of me! I just looked on DisneyWorld.com and on their map they do list it as an Epcot resort.
Tyler, is it, in fact, closer to WWoS, the Studios, or Epcot??? If anyone would know, you would On the map on the website it looks like if you took a ruler and measured it, it'd be the closest to the Studios, but I'm only looking at the cartoonish map they're showing, so it might not be in correct scale.
Just wanted to add that I was looking through the big brochure that came a week ago with the new Disney World Vacation Planning DVD, and right inside the front cover there's a map of WDW and it DOES have a new category:
"Disney's Wide World of Sports Resort Area: NEW! Disney's Pop Century Resort!"
So....now there is a 5th "area", just like Tyler said. (Not that I didn't believe you, Tyler!!!) But they do need to correct their online map and info
I think one of the original goals of the resort when it was announced was that it would be an inexpensive place for folks to stay while participating at WWofS events. This might be why they are trying to emphasize the WWofS connection.

When it all comes down to it, the All-Stars areonly 60 seconds further away (if that). Also, in the master plans, Legendary Years is designed to have a group check-in area, similar to the All-Stars.
