Tyler? MK parking lot after e-nite ...

I posted this on the main board in the hopes that people who had bt/dt might see it, but as I suspected, most of the e-nite regulars seem to be bus riders. I am myself under normal circumstances, but not for my upcoming solo convention trip.

I will have checked out of a DD hotel that morning and spent the working day at a convention up on I-drive. However, I'm free after 5, and I'd love to catch the e-nite on my last free night of the trip, which is a Wednesday.

The catch is that I'm concerned about the process of getting back to my vehicle if I drive. I'm sure that the MK lot will be really deserted at 2 am. Are there patrols around? I'm presuming that the trams won't still be running, so what's the procedure for getting back to a car that is in a far lot?

I'm toying with the idea of paying valet parking at one of the resorts, then taking their bus service. I know it's not strictly kosher, but I want to be safe, and walking around large parking lots alone at 2 am makes me nervous. Are the valets working at 2 am on a Thursday morning?

I don't remember whether or not the parking trams will be running that late at night. I'm tempted to say they wouldn't be. The parking lots are well lit though, and I spent many nights walking over to the Chip & Dale lot (the transportation cast member parking lot) Security will still be around as well.

Just as a reminder for E-Ride, you will need to have a multi-day ticket in order to take advantage of the E-Ride.

Thanks, that's helpful. I don't mind the walk, but I wanted to hear that there would be adequate security around. I do have a valid PH (2, in fact); I'm one of those people who buy 7-days and save half.

I've taken the tram after e-nights to the main lot. Not sure what the schedule is but they'd have to run given all the resort people who drive and park vs the bus.

We were once the last car in the lot after an E-night. The shuttle was running and the driver waited for us to get to our car and start it. They then pulled away and tooted the horn good-bye...Mark

We were at the MK parking lot very late one night and the shuttle wasn't running, but we were carried to our car by a CM in a van. The CM may have been part of WDW security...
