FUN! Very jealous of a 2 week trip. How nice to really be able to relax, explore and soak it all in!!! Enjoy your planning!

Looking forward to hear about all of those places, looks like you have a delicious plan lined up there.

Thanks everyone. We got back over the weekend, and should be starting the reviews soon! We didn't eat at some of the places we had planned, but we had some wonderful food!

This was actually from the Earl of Sandwich from Philadelphia airport and not the one in Downtown Disney, but I'm including it anyway, since it was part of our trip, and there is the same restaurant in Disney.

This is the veggie sandwich, which I had with everything that's included, except for the red onions, since I don't care for raw onions. It had lettuce, tomato, cucumber, roasted red peppers, and feta, plus dressing.

I've had this sandwich before, and it's been better on previous visits. This one was very oily, and messy to eat.

I'd go to Earl again, but the airport location is not nearly as good as the one Downtown.

Dinner the first night I was on my own without DM, DF, or DD. I had wanted to go out and not just stay at the resort, but it started raining right after getting there, so the food court it was.

I had the tofu entree with veggies and rice.

The tofu was fine, covered in some kind of spice blend, but it didn't do much to give it any flavor. The veggies with it however, were wonderful. It was basically ratatouille, but it was prepared very well, and completely made up for what would've otherwise been a very boring bland dish.

We had lunch on our first full day at Everything Pop.

DM and I shared the veggie sandwich, which we both enjoyed.

I know DM especially liked it since she looked for it later in the trip, but unfortunately it's served at lunch only, and we were never at Pop for lunch again, only dinner.

DF had pizza.

He said it was good. Neither DM or I eat pepperon,i so we didn't try it.

For dessert we got grapes for the baby, two bottles of orange juice for later since we had our refillable mugs for soda, and an oreo cupcake.

It was a yellow cake with a chocolate filling. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite cupcake of the trip.

Our first night we spent at Downtown Disney with DF's family, there were ten of us total. Instead of paying OOP somewhere for dinner we used up seven meal credits, which we had an abundance of due to having several TS meals booked and DM and I sharing meals a lot of the time. It was a great value, since OOP the food would of cost $170.

I have pictures of most of the food, though I can only comment on the few things I ended up trying.

Macaroni and cheese.

We ordered this mostly for the kids, though I did have a few bites, and I have to say it's some killer mac and cheese.

Mushroom pizza.

This was really good. It's a relatively new item at WPE, and I had been looking forward to trying it. It had arugula, goat cheese, and garlic cream sauce on it.

Four cheese-pesto pizza.

WPE has had this for years, but it's changed in execution. It used to have whole tomato slices topped with goat cheese, and now it uses crushed tomatoes with a melted cheese blend. Either way it was still really good.

DM and I basically split the two pizzas and neither of us have complaints about either of them. Even with sharing a couple slices with others in our party we still ended up with a couple slices to take back to the room.

Bacon-wrapped meatloaf.

Chicken fingers and fries.

I can't comment on either of these since I tried neither. People also had the turkey club and the spaghetti and meatballs. I think everyone really liked their food. I know there were rave comments about the meatloaf.

For dessert we had four slices of cheesecake, two orders of creme brulee, and a fruit cup between us.

Both desserts were outstanding. The cheesecake at WPE may be my favorite on property, it's extremely light and fluffy. The creme brulee is a very good basic creme brulee. The fruit was fresh and tasty.

We all really liked WPE, and we wanted to get back there before the end of the trip, but never did.

We were only at Epcot for the last day of Food and Wine Festival, so we decided before our trip that we basically just had to eat all day to be able to try everything we wanted.

We started on the Canada side of World Showcase right at 11:00 and Greece was our first stop.

Chicken gyro.

I didn't try this, but DF said it was good.

Vegetarian moussaka.

DM and I both loved this. I'm very excited that the recipe is in the Epcot special events cookbook they were selling during the festival so I can try making it at home.

Griddled Greek cheese, with no pistachios or honey, (for DD.)

Though we got this mainly for DD I tried it and thought the cheese was very tasty. It was also extremely fresh since they had to make one special for us since the ones already made up had the honey and nuts on them.

Our next stop was Ireland.

Seafood fisherman's pie.

This is one of my favorites every year. It's full of seafood in a sauce that is basically lobster bisque, which is very rich and creamy, then topped with mashed potatoes. It's really good. We got two portions, and we all enjoyed it.

Kerrygold Irish cheese plate.

I have no idea what any of the cheeses were, but I liked all of them, I think DM and DF liked all of them, DD liked the one on top, but not the one on the bottom as that was just thrown out of her stroller. I also liked the bread and the fruit chutney that was served with the cheese.

Chocolate cake with Bailey's sauce.

This was good and I think we all enjoyed it. It was also extremely rich, and after finishing this, we were done eating for awhile.

We didn't stop to eat again until we got to China.

Steamed beef bun.

This was DF's and I didn't try it, he said it was interesting.

Shrimp with noodles.

I'd read bad reviews for it, but I thought it was tasty. The noodles weren't too spicy and DD enjoyed them as well.

Then we walked back to America.

Lobster alfredo.

This was more of what I would consider macaroni and cheese than alfredo, but it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't expecting much considering how lobster dishes have been in past years, but DM and I both loved this. The lobster seemed to be thrown in as somewhat as an afterthought, but the pasta was so good that it didn't really matter to us. This gets my vote of favorite item at the festival this year!

We also had the cheese plate.

The three cheeses were goat, cheddar, and blue. This was good, though I can get just as good cheese from the regular super market here. DM and I love cheese however, so we enjoyed it.

We also had the beer sampler.

The CM didn't tell us which beer was which, and though I think we figured it out, I can't tell you which is which now. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I liked the two medium bodied beers from this selection. DM and DF liked them all. It was a nice way to try a couple beers that I otherwise never would.

I had this as well and felt the same! At first I wasn't sure about how the tofu was cooked but mixed all together and it actually quite good!!

Later in the afternoon we stopped to try a few final things from the booths on the other side of World Showcase.

Shrimp taco from Mexico.

This was really good. It had pickled peppers, onions, and a creamy sauce that wasn't too spicy.

We then tried one of everything from Terra, the vegan booth.

Blackened "chicken" gumbo with farro.

This was good. DM especially enjoyed it. I thought the sauce was tasty.

"Crab"cake

I liked this too. I've had similar things that have tasted more like actual crab cakes, but this was tasty. The pepper slaw was a nice addition.

Chocolate cupcake.

This I would rate as only okay. I've had delicious vegan cupcakes, so I'm not knocking vegan baking, but I found this a little too dense, though the blood orange filling gave it some much needed moisture. The icing, which was made from tofu, was a little bland and not nearly sweet enough.

Our last booth of the day was Scotland.

Vegetarian haggis.

We liked this. The patty was tasty, though my favorite part might have been the mashed rutabaga.

Scallop with spinach-cheddar gratin.

This was an absolutely perfectly cooked scallop. It probably helped that we had one made to order without bacon, instead of the ones with that were sitting under a heat lamp. The gratin was also extremely tasty, very rich and creamy and delicious.

If I had to pick three favorite things from the festival this year, they probably would be the baked lobster alfredo, the fisherman's pie, and this wonderful scallop.

fantastic review..

Thanks so much for doing this ..especially for our "non-Meat eaters"..

This was our first of many meals at Landscape of Flavors. Any time we decided to eat in our rooms we always ended up getting food from there instead of Everything Pop except for one night when it was raining and we didn't want to walk over in the rain or if we just wanted pizza.

We had stayed at Art of Animation last trip, and thought the food was much better this time.

Meatball sandwich.

This was DF's, and he said it was good. Obviously DM and I didn't try it, so we can't comment.

Create-your-own pasta.

DM and I shared this. It was bow tie pasta with marinara, shrimp, and every veggie they had available, including; spinach, broccoli, garlic, onions, mushrooms, peppers, olives, peas, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan cheese. It was very good. I love that it's made to order and that you can pick and choose what you want. The garlic bread it came with was very good as well.

Pumpkin-pecan tart.

This is one of the desserts we got. It was basically a pumpkin pie bottom with a pecan pie top. It was so good. It might've been one of my favorite desserts all week.

I don't have a picture or note of what our second dessert was, so I'm assuming we just got fruit for DD. Being able to get fruit or crackers for DD with dessert credits was a big help during the trip.

I'm pretty sure for our drinks that night we got the bottled smoothies, which we always saved for breakfast the next day, and Monster energy drinks, which DF always drank.

Enjoying your reviews so far, thank you for sharing. All those things you got at F&W look amazing!

YUM! Looks good. Thanks for sharing!

On our third day we had a late breakfast, which also turned into lunch, at Tusker House. Tusker House is in Animal Kingdom, and is in my opinion, one of the better character meals on property.

Our reservation was for 10:30, and we arrived on time, which with DD was not always the easiest thing to do. We had our picture taken outside the restaurant, which since we had purchased Memory Maker, would be included. We were seated promptly after our photo.

The characters that day were Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, and Donald. DD meeting them was the main reason we were there, and she loved them.

The food here was good. Breakfast switches over to a lunch buffet right at 11:00, and since our breakfast was so late we got to sample from both buffets. I only have pictures of the food I ate as it was too chaotic to keep track of everyone's plates. I don't remember at all what DF ate, but I know he enjoyed his food. DM ate plates similar to mine, and whatever one of us had that the other didn't we sampled from each other's plates anyway.

Going around clockwise is cheese, roasted potatoes, cheese blintz with apple topping, bread pudding with vanilla sauce, leek frittata, vegetable quiche, a Mickey waffle, and underneath the waffle, sweet potato casserole.

Everything was delicious, but the standouts to me were the potatoes, bread pudding, and of course the always wonderful Mickey waffles.

These are all from the lunch buffet; seafood stew, some kind of cous cous shrimp salad, samosas, salmon, and tofu with veggies.

Again everything was very good, but the best things to me were the seafood stew and salmon.

For dessert we had baklava, carrot cake, and raspberry mousse-filled chocolate cups. The baklava and carrot cake were unremarkable, but the raspberry mousse cups were tasty.

The breakfast here is solid, but the lunch food is my favorite and quite unique compared to other restaurants on property. Tusker House is on my list again for next year.
