Two weeks for voucher??

My family is leaving for WDW in two weeks!!! I did not look into the GAD program because I thought you could just receive a day and with a multi-day pass we didn't need them. Now I learn that you can choose something else-- FP, hat.. or donate the tickets!!! I have signed up to make blankets for children in crises and will drop them off this Saturday. There are three of us volunteering. I would like to use two vouchers for FP and donate the third one. Do you think I have a chance of getting the vouchers in time? If not I will donate all three vouchers but those FPs would be nice too!

I'm sure it is different for each organization, but I dropped off my project on Sat. and received the vouchers on Wed. (today). I think the Monday holiday may have slowed things down by a day. The vouchers came the day after my contact person notified me that she had verified my volunteer service.

Mine took a week, we did beach cleanup. It actually came 15 minutes after I bought tickets ( we had wanted to upgrade the vouchers) so next time we will use them to renew my AP and DD16 wants the figurine. DBF and I did a food drive last Friday and his acct still says verification pending.

Official line from Disney is that it can take up to 2 weeks, but most reports here are that people are getting them MUCH quicker than that. We got ours 4 days after our service was completed.

Thanks for your replies. The person at Binky Patrol told me she would enter my service as soon as she is able at 24 hours after completion. This gives me 9 days to receive my vouchers-- you guys give me hope that this is possible!!

My Aunt made Binky blankets (in PA - probably the same place as you) and had her voucher three days after the volunteer date. I think you'll be good!

We turned our blankets in on Saturday afternoon and received our vouchers yesterday (Wed) morning. Much quicker than what I expected.

we did our project on a Saturday and got the vouchers on Tuesday! I think it really just depends on how fast your service organization reports that you completed the service.

Ours took exactly 1 week. DBF and I (I already got mine for beach cleanup but the cause was worth me doing more) donated food to a local pantry.

Please let us know if you get them in time.

I agree. Our family / extended family selected several different opportunities. Some of the coordinators were very organized and diligent and the vouchers came very quickly. Others took longer. I was told the coordinator has 72 hours after the volunteer date to verify volunteer attendance...so their response time could seemingly have a 3 day impact.

We got our vouchers today (Friday) and we did our project on Monday... so four days turn-around. I'm impressed!

We got our vouchers 3 days after completing service. The day after we shipped out our package and emailed our coordinator our status was changed and then 2 days later our voucher emailed arrived. Good luck - it is possible to get them on time =)

We just did our GAD project today with Habitat for Humanity - the coordinator told us he would enter the info in the system on Monday and it would take 1-2 weeks to get the vouchers. We aren't going til November-ish (just in the initial planning)... we'll see when they arrive!

Great, I knew you were turning your blankets in the same day I was and knew I got my email this AM Glad the person on your end was on the ball and got you verified quickly!!
