Two water parks in one day

Planning a trip in late May, and would like to go to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach in the same day. Is this practical? Any suggestions or strategies. Thanks

It's certainly doable, but you'll be flat exhausted by the end. Remember, it's hot outside. Water slides and activities tend to use a lot of energy. Plus, both parks have stairs...lots and lots of stairs. We love the water parks and go often. However, we've never done both in the same day and rarely spend more than 4-5 hours at one. I'm a gym rat and quite well physically conditioned, and while I'm not wiped out after a day at a water park, I certainly know I've used energy. If I did both, I'd be exhausted by the end.

If you want to do it, I say go for it, but make sure you can sleep in the next day.

I have not done both in the same day....not even both in the same vacation. I would say go for it if you want to. The water parks wear me out twice as much as the non water parks and I don't know why exactly as we are there less than half the time than a normal park.

I wouldn't do but one-you would lose so much time hopping, and it adds enough stress trying to do both that the relaxing aspect of going to a water park is out the window.

Thanks I appreciate your responses. Just thinking frugally, if I can get into both parks with one admission, then why not try. I was considering treating the water parks like we do theme park hopping. Do one in the morning with a mid day break and one in the evening.

It's been 10 years since (wow time has flown) since I worked at Typhoon, and unless things have changed, I'm pretty sure you would have to pay admission for each park. I don't think a park hopper ticket exists for the water parks. But like I said its been 10 years so I could be wrong.

Can I ask why you think you will get both parks with one admission? I haven’t heard of anything like that before. Or... what new info do you have that we don’t?? 😉

Agree with Klayfish, you will be exhausted! Just one water park for 4-5 hours wears me out! Between being in the water all day and walking up a ton of steps, (sometimes with a tube in hand) for water slides, it is exhausting!

Water park admission gets you into both parks - separate tickets for each park are not required.

I've done both water parks on the same day a couple of times. Unless you've been to them before and know exactly what you want to do (and don't want to do it all), however, I don't really recommend it. It's rushed and, as pointed out above, you'll feel it at the end of the day.

Also keep in mind that there will be no midday break - water park hours in late May are 10am to 5pm (closing moves to 8pm in late June). Best case scenario is 3 hours at each, with 1 hour in the middle for transportation/lunch. It really takes you out of the moment if you have to check the time floating along the lazy river.

We did it this summer. Had not been to BB before so spent most of the day there with about an hour at TL before a thunderstorm kicked us out. This is when the parks closed at 8 though. We were tired but had a blast!

I have only been to BB, but I imagine TL has just as many stairs! Please don't underestimate how much energy will be used from climbing all those stairs...and yes the FL is a factor. I did like how their were misters in BB spraying the sidewalks to keep them cool...
