Two Waitlists for same dates?

I know early December is a popular DVC time, so I booked a studio at BLT right at the 11 month mark for our trip. However, this time we'd love to try something new. I know the chances are slim, but I've waitlisted studios at the Poly and VGF. Can someone please tell me what happens in the unlikely event of one of those waitlists coming through? Does it automatically cancel my original reservation? What about the other waitlist? Thanks!

With DVC what should happen and what does happen are sometimes different things. Based on your instructions, MS should do what you asked. If you didn't provide detailed instructions, contact MS and add your instructions to the wait-lists.

When a waitlist is fulfilled, it will cancel another reservation only if you requested this when you put in the waitlist. And even then, the original reservation might not get cancelled (as several folks here, including myself, have experienced) - making the new reservation must be done manually by a CM.

When you set up the waitlist there was a box to input if you wanted it to replace a reservation and to input the resort and dates. If you did not enter that information and selected to not have it replace then it most likely won't.

Also, when one waitlist fills for a set of dates the other waitlist is normally cancelled but you would want to check it.

Also make sure they don't cancel a part of your trip that wasn't supposed to be changed. That happened to us, but the end result was ok.

Agree. Make sure everything is OK after they've filled your request.
