Hello! I am planning a fall of 2017 trip. Renting points and planning to get two studios at AKL. Since it will be my husband and myself in one room (already did the savannah room, and got a lousy one) we are going the value route. The other studio will be for our daughter, son in law, and two toddlers. Should I do the savannah view for them? I want our rooms to be close together, so I want to choose something that can be close in proximity to the value. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks...btw doing the dining plan, so a 2br is not possible.

You can not request a view or location for the value room. You get what you get on check-in day.
As for the family room IMHO, go with a savanna view due to the kids and their most likely wanting to watch the animals within the room.

The AKV value rooms are on a different trail from the savanna view rooms. You will be on the same floor but may not be anywhere near each other if you book the family a different category. Value rooms are limited and not that easy to get as there are only 10 two bedroom lock offs and 8 dedicated studios. The value rooms are located on the Ostrich and Giraffe trails in the front of Jambo House. The savanna view rooms are on the zebra and kudu trails. You might want to check this map.

Are there any value and standard studios that are close together? Perhaps I would be better off requesting two standard view studios? I know, from experience, that not all of the savanna view rooms are that great....we were in a room where we saw very few animals the entire week. There are plenty of viewing locations, so I don't see it as a huge issue.
